Did you try setting the Title or the Description field when setting the alt text? If I set the description in Google Docs, both the exported Word document and the HTML generated by Mammoth seem to include the description.

The images are named using the alt text of the image, if any is available. I don’t know whether an exported Google Doc would contain the original image file names.

Bookmarks in the document are converted to anchors in the HTML output. If you get rid of the bookmarks in the original document, then the corresponding anchors shouldn’t appear in the output.

I’m afraid I don’t have the same issue when I’ve tried WordPress 5.5. Do you get any errors in the Developer Tools console? Do you get the same issue if you disable all other plugins?

Thanks for the reports with Yoast. Do you have other plugins installed, such as the Classic Editor, or is Yoast the only other plugin?

Thanks for letting me know what browser you’re using. I’ve tried using Google Chrome successfully, so I don’t think that’s the culprit.

The plugin largely works in the browser, so shouldn’t need any particular PHP modules.

I’ve just tried Mammoth on WordPress 5.4.2 with WooCommerce installed, and the plugin worked fine for me.

Could you try using the plugin with no other plugins and the default theme installed and see if you have the same issue?

Also, could you provide an example document?

Could you explain a bit more about what behaviour you’re seeing? The document appears in the editor, but without any pictures? Are you getting any errors?
