In reply to: [Sydney] Customizing buttons issueFor the button on this page, https://churchnewsnow.com/about, I have the default colors set at red for background, the text at white and the outline as black. I have the hover colors set at green for background, the text at white and the outline as black. When I publish the settings, the default and hover background colors remain as set but the text colors continue to remain the same, but not white. Even if I reset them to something other than white and publish the reset text colors, the text reverts to the same colors as before. Not any outline colors appear regardless of the settings. (I have removed the link from the button.)

In reply to: Can’t login to siteProblem resolved by contacting the developer of the plugin. He updated the plugin and forgot to change some code regarding roles.

In reply to: Login details don’t allow access to dashboard after move to HTTPSI’m hosted with Hostgator. In the past, techs have been very helpful. Alex was actually a little snippy during chat. Needless to say, I didn’t rate him a 10. He got a 5, because his suggestion would have got me into my cpanel, but it wasn’t the correct solution to the problem.
Again, thanks. ??

In reply to: Login details don’t allow access to dashboard after move to HTTPSChecked with my host–suggested I reinstall WordPress through my WHM cpanel account. Tech ignored my comment that I should be able to reach my domain’s cpanel directly and repeated his “advice.” For the heck of it, I entered my domain’s cpanel login information in IE, and I had no trouble accessing the domain’s cpanel. I had a simple problem. When I cleared cache in Chrome, which I had been using, I got to the domain’s cpanel. I manually installed WordPress on the domain, and all I need to do now is upload and configure plugins. I’ll then have to be careful when setting the site to HTTPS.
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Login details don’t allow access to dashboard after move to HTTPSDo you mean that when I installed WP on my domain, I should have installed it on https://MikesDemos.com rather than on MikesDemos.com? No Force SSL plugins are installed.

In reply to: Can't find wordpress when typing MYSITE.orgI’m not sure I know the difference between a re-install and a re-upload. I used Filezilla to delete all the folders from the original site, re-uploaded the files and folders with a new version of WordPress, built a new database with new username and password, and changed the config file to reflect the new database. I can’t find any evidence of the former folder into which I had installed WordPress.
