I just got the same thing. Never seen this before and I run GA on dozens of sites.

Bump – any thoughts on this? I could use some guidance. Thank you in advance. Perhaps having a button link to domainname.com/itunes-download which then redirects to a goo.gl/link which then goes to the iTunes download link (and same for Android). That way I could track the numbers of clicks from goo.gl directly, though having them in Google Analytics would be preferable.

As of yet, I don’t see these dummy redirect pages showing up in Google Analytics. I just want to be able to track the number of clicks to each button, even though they’re outbound to the iTunes or Google Play stores.

Any advice on this? I’d be most appreciative. I want to make sure I’m not putting dupe content on my site. Thanks in advance.

I use Genesis/AgentPress, so not sure why it will be all convoluted. I haven’t done any ASP, frames or anything(?) to my knowledge — just using the theme ‘as is’. Maybe it’s the W3TC minify?

Follow-up question: Do you know of a way to control the setting on a form by form basis? IOW, the background color for a form on one page can be different than the background color for a form on a separate pate?

Opted to just use OptimizePress instead of Yoast since I couldn’t get one to play nicely with the other. Works fine.

Ok got the 2nd one fixed — I have Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin set up and I had to resave it after saving the WordPress core permalink changes I was testing. Anyway, back to square one — author linking to root.

My permalinks were set to postname. I changed them to the top (default) option as you suggested, but the same problem persisted — author link redirected to the root URL. I changed it back to postname.

I’m not sure why https://bigrockinvestments.com/hawaiirealestatenews/ is now a dead link – it was working fine a couple minutes ago.

Not sure these are related or separate problems.
