In reply to: WooCommerce > Magento > WooCommerceThanks so much, I shall take a look at these shortly.
I do have a developer who is able to get my clients’ stores to communicate with mine, but as you can imagine, it’s very pricey. It’s a bit of a catch 22 at the moment as this ability would grow the site quite quickly in a short space of time, but I was hoping to scale it a bit further before I shell out for it.
One other question, that you may be able to help with.
Setting up the WooCommerce API, I’m at their github with the .php files, do I need to add these to the theme? I understand everything bar the implementation of this code. Ironically, probably the most vital part. This would probably reduce the future cost of the developer.
Hi,
Yes I moved over to the full Dokan package and am very happy with it.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Client API similar to Amazon MWS?Access to the plugin that allows bulk upload. From what I can see, it’s only me as admin that can access it. Anyway to open it up to my sellers?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Client API similar to Amazon MWS?Ok, fair enough. But let’s say it was installed, would sellers have access to it via the restricted admin area they can log in to?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Client API similar to Amazon MWS?Actually, whilst we’re on this subject. Do you know off the top of your head any plugins that have a dashboard for vendors to visit and upload? The ones I have found are all backend and I’m trying to keep them out of the restricted admin area.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Client API similar to Amazon MWS?Because apparently they don’t use CSV files. I have yet to find out exactly how they’re bulk uploading products to other sites…
I think I’m just going to go with the CSV based system, which I’ve already looked at and maybe find a plugin for mass edit and delete.
Thanks for your help. Until they tell me how they’re uploading these details exactly, I can’t see anything beyond what you’ve suggested.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Client API similar to Amazon MWS?Yes, a lot of sense.
How hard is it to set up though> Not so much for myself to do but someone else. My fear is, I’ve tried working with a lot of people who say they know what they’re doing and never complete the task.
My client wants an area where they can add, edit an delete products en masse.
Any plugins that may be worth looking at?

In reply to: Is anyone free to assist me with 500 error please?okay, perfect.
I know how to sort the code when I can access my ftp. I got really concerned about the lack of access there though.
Thanks for your time and info James. I’m sure I’ll need to reference back to some of the above in the not too distant future.

In reply to: Is anyone free to assist me with 500 error please?Hi James,
Many thanks for this very comprehensive response. I’m pretty sure it’s some dodgy PHP I entered. Problem is, I can’t access wp-admin or the FTP client.
I had one other thought, but think it’s a bit longwinded. My web host are installing an SSL certificate. They said this: “What we need to do is move your website content over to a separate SSL hosting server we have for websites with SSL certificates installed on them then order the certificate and install it for you.”
Could this be the problem? Or is that a ridiculous notion?
I’ve asked them to look in to it, but I won’t hear anything until tomorrow.
I’m keen to find out if this is possible, too. Was just coming to ask the exact same thing.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Frontend Shop Manager - Free Version] Product ManagerAnd one other thing. Seem to be missing a ‘quantity’ option.
Can’t find this on the backend, either? Do I need to add a ‘Custom Tab’? Not sure if that will feed in to the system though.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Frontend Shop Manager - Free Version] Product ManagerOne other question, actually. Sorry if I’m being dim.
When you go to ‘product page’ there is the category tab. This loads ‘products’ and ‘sub-categories’. Is there any way for it to just show ‘products’? With all the sub-categories, there’s too many options. Even more ideal would be to have a main category and then a selection of sub-categories within that main category.
Is there a solution to this?
Thanks,
M
