That is hard, but i can understand it.

We have nextgen only running as a third-party plugin, so we can switch to another plugin, but nextgen is one of the best plugin for a photography website. The Problem is the testing by user, instead testing at a own platform before they do a rollout. Perhaps if they lose much more user, they will change there strategy and do some better support like a Rollback-Button or like Divi-Builder with a Remote Access-Support.

I hope they got fixed the problem.

i have written on pro-support 349791 that v3.9.2 does not fix the problem. My website (your admin acc is always active) runs on 3.9.2 and pro 3.1.11 and allready works fine. There are 25 updates in queue. If i do the 25 updates, the viewer does not work anymore.

At pro-support-ticket i have done a screenshot > uncaught TypeError: gallery is null.

divi has many possibilities, already alone the own modules (text module, video module, blog module etc.) bring for the beginner without programming knowledge very many setting options. You can play around in Divi for a long time and always find new and impressive features. You can show/hide divi modules (areas on a page) for tablet/mobile/pc only. You can pin menus, etc. You can edit something global for all pages or only for the actual page.

I use nextgen-gallery, not the ultimate, but is better than all picture-gallerys into the page-builders. Accordingly, some “plugins” are needed. Do not overdo it with the number of plugins, they slow down the page.

In the Divi Code-module on a page, for example, you can display a nextgen-gallery then according to your wishes. Titles, Description and so on i use yoast premium.

If you do not known the nextgen code, you can create a page with wordpress-block editor and switch to the code, copy and paste to the visual page-builder code-module.

If you know which pagebuilder you want to use switch to the forum, many questions are there welcome and divi has a fb-site with a lot of tutorials. And the best, if you have a problem, divi has a reroll-option to a earlier version and for every module you can do a custom-css, if you need them.

I have forgotten, divi have many themes that you can install and than redesign.

with life-version do you mean the lifetime nextgen gallery? What do you mean with Arcane? The Arcane theme from themeforest?

It is a little bit tricky but if you know how css (cascading style sheet) works, you can design your page. For myself i use a page-builder (divi from elegantthemes) and have plugins like nextgen pro, wp-rocket (make the sides faster), smush pro (optimizes the images), borlabs cookie and yoast seo. With divi it is easy to build your page, but it is not done in some days, because you must learn and check how the different modules can be used, that divi has. But with a page-builder, divi, elementor or ++++ they have themes and you can use it. At divi you have in every module a custom-css, so you can do your own css or you can set for the module you have placed on your page your own colors, fonts and so much more.

Before i used page-builders i created my website by myself in html and css, only sometime you want to focus on the essentials. In my case, that’s taking pictures and not spending hours maintaining the website, that’s why I decided to use divi-builder, after 3 years of visual composer wpbakery just cost me nerves.

i had the same problems, all the time i used nextgen pro lightbox and after the last terrible update, i had the problem that the lightbox opens the actual image and only one step to the next or before the image has open, than there was a no more function. Only Exit has worked. I have done a manual reroll with my latest pro nextgen version 3.11 that works.

Perhaps you must do a reroll and still wait for the next terrible update.

Hello and thank you very much for your fast feedback and very detailed answer and the challenge that you and others have to struggle with.

My challenge is first of all to find the right gallery that I can load the new images into. Since in the backend gallery/add images at the input field all my galleries are displayed. I get them all displayed and can of course still navigate down with the right scroll bar, but if I have new images for the gallery ID12 maybe still for the gallery ID164, then this is not easy to find. Here I would like to see an ID number in front of the galleries, or that the gallery(names) sort alphabetically A-Z.

I try to smush the picture with the button “smush it”, and after “7,8.. errors” than smush it works on the picture! Perhaps it is a cloudflare-conflict?

Same problem here at smush pro version 3.6.3.

Smush: Couldn’t process image due to bad headers. Try re-saving the image in an image editor, then upload it again.

I start the process smush many times, and than, wondering it works.
is that a bug?

no plugins for google chrome, no plugins IE and MS Edge. I use normally only firefox, the other three browsers are only for testing my website. I have seen, if i reload the page with firefox, he do the same (opens a wrong image).

Same problem on my android phone, same problem on my friendgirl iphone.

Does it work with your browser? Please open my website scroll down, than reload and push on one of the nine images (right corner, mobile on the end of the site). What is happen with your browser?

i have found the option, that the thumbnails have a aspect-ratio, sorry, was my mistake on a wrong setting. But with exif-datas i dont see any option. I have found the information for exif-template on https://www.imagely.com/docs/image-meta-data/ but i dont have such a template option.
