In reply to: What is wrong with my dynamic title tag?My experience has been that once you check the box to rewrite the titles, unchecking it doesn’t do anything. I could be wrong, so don’t write a book and quote me on that ??

In reply to: What is wrong with my dynamic title tag?I see, so even if I check the box that says “rewrite titles” and hit apply and then uncheck it then it still overrides it?

In reply to: What is wrong with my dynamic title tag? Thanks, the issue is that I have a static page set for my home page, so whatever I set for the “home” page is applied to the posts page. But yes, I’m using all in one SEO.
The margin:0 auto; is what makes the content centered, so set it to margin:0; or margin:0 10px; and then insert float:right; for each element you want to float to the right. See if that works, and it is always nice if you can post a link so we can look at it.

In reply to: putting blog on existing web siteanother option is to keep your existing site, and create the subdomain blog.yourdomain.com and have it point to the folder with your wordpress installation in it.

In reply to: 404 issuesThat is really strange. I changed the slug to site-map and it is all clear. You can see it at https://captainpenguin.com/site-map/
Thanks stvwif and kemessinger

In reply to: 404 issuesThat would be true of the link to my XML sitemap, but not the link to my XHTML sitemap. The link in the menu is to my XHTML sitemap, sorry I didn’t specify.

In reply to: 404 issuesYes, the xml sitemaps plugin. I will try clearing the cache and see if that helps.
Thanks for all the help!

In reply to: 404 issuesNo, the only thing in my .htaccess file is the stuff for Wp-SuperCache. And yes, there is a page called “Sitemap”, and the template is set to “Sitemap”, and as I said before, it worked until I changed the slug.

In reply to: 404 issuesSort of, it’s a custom page template that is part of the Copyblogger theme from Chris Pearson. I looked at the source, but couldn’t see anything that would indicate a specific url.
I also thought it was interesting that it did not use my custom 404 page template and used the default error page from my web host. If you go to https://captainpenguin.com/free-candy, or any other faulty url for that matter, you get the 404 page built into the theme.Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Solemates FootwearThanks for the feedback! Regarding the store, there are some issues with the manufacturers that prevent you from selling their shoes on your website. We are working on some alternatives, but there’s not much you can do. I agree, though, that it would be a great idea. Thanks for looking!

In reply to: CaptainPenguin.com – UpdateThanks for the input, echodust, those are good ideas! I think that looking at other sites definitely helps, so I will have to do that.
Thank you for looking,

In reply to: CaptainPenguin.com – UpdateI was also wondering what you think about the “thin” look. I’m still undecided as to what to do there. If you could give me your thoughts as to the width that would be great too.
Thanks again,

In reply to: CaptainPenguin.comThanks for the comments, and good point, Jrodgers, I don’t really have a desire to meet my clients’ lawyer. I will change that. Do you think the penguin is a deterrent because it is to silly, or do you like it?
