I guess it might be a theme/plugin conflict? I have only used this plugin on one site and did not see a location to turn off the message. No worries.

David, try the WordPress RollBack Plugin to get back to version 2.3.5

I went back to the old version and everything is working smoothly. No data was lost

Most welcome jortiz8. Once I went back to version 2.3.5 I had no issues.

I didn’t want to start with another SEP plugin because I have put work into adding keywords, meta data and that would be lost if I switched to another plugin.

I turned off auto update for Yoast SEO in JetPack/WordPress.com. I will never auto update this plugin again, I will wait until I know there is a stable version.

I went onto my server, renamed the wordpress-seo folder to broken. Then used the admin panel in WordPress to install and upload version 2.3.5 then activated it. Once it was activated I deleted the “broken” folder.

Then I went to CloudFlare, deleted my cache there and deleted my cache in FireFox and refreshed my plugins page in WordPress and all was good. All was good, my settings & data were all there.

Make that 3.0.4 as rollback?

I see a 3.0.3 and only the snippet preview was changed?

3.0.1 was wonky too. Snippets too hard to work with, slugs are seriously messed up on new posts

I don’t see why they can’t rename 2.3.5 to 3.0.3 and let us ALL rollback easily.

Seriously, let us all have 2.3.5 back

Then work on these horrendous issues with all of the 3.0.X versions.

Additional issue is that Yoast SEO is messing with the url’s/slugs of posts, they are being truncated at times into unreadable garbage.

I have given this version of Yoast SEO enough time. It has caused me more work, used up more of my time.

I will have to revert to the older version.
