I think I accidentally figured this out. In the widget, there is a field for “Offset” (the number of posts to skip). Since I have the posts sorted by date, setting the Offset to “1” caused the first post, in this case the sticky post, to be hidden.

Is this what “Offset” was supposed to do? In any case, it worked.

This works! I installed the plugin you suggested and this is the code that worked:

I put the code in Custom CSS Rules in my theme and it didn’t work for me, either.

My sidebar is yellow and the divider lines are a pale gray. I would like the lines to be the same yellow as the background.

Or is there code to simply remove the divider lines? That would be even better.
