    Hi,

so using the above trick discovered by jpbroome (thank you), I managed to get the settings save to at least not throw a 403/404 error. However, when I update the settings and save it doesn’t actually seem to save the mailserver. I’ve checked the record in the database and it clearly shows the new value, but the screen shows the old and when I try to test the connection it uses the old value. I’ve tried uninstalling and deleting the postie settings record on the options database and the reinstalling (it manages to find the same settings), I’ve tried disabling cache and optimization plugins but nothing works.
Any ideas? I’ve used Postie before on other sites and not had any issues.

    Hi Wayne,

    thank you for replying.

I have tried your suggestions :
    – saving settings on the General page (or elsewhere) works fine
    – saving settings on the Postie plugin takes me to the wp-admin/options.php url but indicates a 404 error
    – accessing wp-admin/options.php does show me the options
    – updating options on wp-admin/options.php returns a 404 error on saving

Hmm, I tried switching my theme and that didn’t work.
I’ve checked to see if the files were uploading correctly and they seem to be there.

What I did notice was that if I select a document from the widget then it opens it in the editor fine. However, when I try to access the document from the webpage it just doesn’t find it.

The website is https://www.benrhyddingscoutsandguides.co.uk/exec and the documents can be found under the Meeting Documents Menu item under April 2012

    Krivo,

I’m currently using Weaver 2. I’ll try switching to 2011 and see if it works any better.

    Thanks

    Krivo,

Thanks for the info. I added the suggested lines into the code and it worked so thanks for that. However having added a document in a specific category and display it on the correct page, when I try to view the document through the page I get a 404 error – document not found.
    What’s going on?

    I do mean
domain3.com – domain to be mapped to domain2.com/test

    domain2.com/test works fine

I have pointed domain3.com at the main directory for domain2.com but still no joy.

It does appear that domain1 is catching the traffic because I am getting directed to the directory listing for the domain root. When I click on the domain2.com folder it directs me to the correct site but says that it can’t find the file I’m looking for.

I think I might try moving the wordpress install (from domain2) to the domain1 root folder and then pointing domain2 at the domain1 root and point domain1 elsewhere.

    Not quite

domain1.com – main domain being hosted
domain2.com – addon domain with own subdir which is where WP is installed
    domain2.com/test – child site
domain3.com – domain to be mapped to domain.com/test

Thanks for having a look at this problem

It is installed in a sub-directory. The one for the add on domain.

    Hi,

Yes it did work fine before I added domain mapping.

I’m using WordPress MU domain mapping plugin version 0.5.4.2
