are the <div> tages in the posts? you should be able to create your posts without the use of <div>,

also instead of using a feedpress you may also want to use a syndication plugin such as “Syndicate Out” Version 0.6 (which I use); you install the plugin on the website of the original post and when you create the post is will automatically syndicate it out to your other blogs immediately without having to wait for the lag of your other site to check for un updated feed every hour or so; as well updates to the post will instantly be transferred over as well.

if the <div> tags are in the post itself and are causing the issues I suggest creating your posts without the div tags, although the div tags shouldnt technically cause problems if they are opened and closed within the post and thus constrained.

your problem stems from the fact that your inputting tags that only contain half the info just the close tag or the open tag but not both thus they interferr with your site. as well if your <-more-> tag is in the middle of a tag such as this it will mess up your site since the other half of the tag would not be shown unless viewing the entire post

you can always place them specifically where you want them by editing the sidebar.php file,

also try reinstalling the widgets and plugins, and an automatic reinstall of wordpress to look for an easier quicker solution

links lists, you can also rename it, and at categories if you want your blogtoll to just link to blogs, and have other categories for other links.

could also be an issue with the plugin version and wordpress version if others are having the problem. see how others have been able to resolve the issue

you want to make sure that you have the file name exactly correct, as well as in the correct directory that you specify it as being in. you may want to include the entire https://&#8230;. link to the file as well.
try that out.

I like using the “Get Permalink” v0.4 plugin for permalinks. it’s simple and easy to use.

if your blog files are not in the root directory but say in a folder called “blog” you need to ensure this is set in your dashboard as well and that you have copied and edited the two files you need to move into the root directory to run your blog.

are all the wordpress files in the root directory on the new server?

make sure you moved your entire wp-contents folder over to the new server with all of your files, and theme files that you might require.

try disabling your plugins to ensure its not a plugin issue. also make sure you have the index.php file in the root correctly edited to point to your “blog” directory and have followed the instructions for moving it correctly. It is sometimes tricky when making this move.

you might want to “automatically reinstall” the latest version of wordpress again to make sure there were no errors in the update. If you updated the first time in the first 20minutes there may have been errors wordpress reports.

otherwise your theme stylesheet might be set to override custom formating in your post.

you can edit the URL via myPHPadmin if you did it incorrectly

cicking on the category names form your sidebar should show the all the posts from that category

i just looked at it again, and it appears to me that the purple background itself is not from the widget itself but would be defined by your theme, or the body you have pasted the code for the widget into.

are you using a plugin which is supporting the widget? or do you have the some code running the widget.

If you are using a plugin you could edit the plugin files and define the background color for the plugin.

It looks to like you have the facebook widget inside a text widget the paramaters for which might be defined by your theme. In which case you would want to use your theme editor and edit the CSS (styles.css) file.
