Hi Gregory,
THX!! for the answers!! ?? … I am not a developer, which is why I asked and which is why I appreciate these answers and explanations! ??
I already made the switch and subscribed. I really like your plugin for a lot of reasons – I love the logs, it is very intuitive and highly insightful and feels very well rounded. And I feel like it actually catches/blocks more incidents – even this day to day nasty stuff, that is probably not very dangerous but still highly annoying.
PS: to other potential readers … I am not getting paid for that ?? … its really just my opinion.
… little follow up:
1) is there an option to erase 100% of all and every data when uninstalling the plugin?
2) at the moment I am using both wordfence and cerber .. but since I like cerber much better I would like to transfer completely to cerber. Now, my question is: Is it okay to run both plugins at the same time? If I want to make the switch to cerber – does cerber provide the same kind of protection in terms of hardening the site – for example in terms of:
– Prevent discovery of usernames through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, the WordPress REST API, and WordPress XML Sitemaps
– Don’t let WordPress reveal valid users in login errors…?
Thx in advance
Hello @vbaaccess ,
I am very new to UpDraft – and it seems like you are an experienced UpDraft user.
I have a question: Do you work with incremental backups in the ProVersion? .. if so, how are you doing this, especially in regards of restoring from certain points in time?
The support said:
“When you click restore button, it should show a dropdown, which will include the incremental backup date to restore, selecting the date your should be able to restore the incremental backups.”I actually like this method mentioned above and initially thought it would be like that but when I asked the support again about on how to set this up – they now said:
“With the recent version you cannot select the incremental backups from the dropdown, whatever incremental backups you see in the list will be restored.”… this is very unfortunate .. because I can only restore the very latest version .. and if I want to set a new restore-point I need to make full backup.
I am asking, because I am looking for best practices on how others take advantage of the incremental back up feature .. because at the moment it seems kind of limited to me – especially without the dropdown list that was once there (showing all incremental BUs) compared to now, where you can only restore the most recent version.
Thx a lot in advance
Hello Bryle,
oh no .. it s not a presale question – I actually bought the plugin.
When its about the refund policy – I already found it – I saw that you dont have a refund policy based on time but rather on individual judgement.
My question was mainly about how to restore or rollback to different incremental backups? I dont know how to do this within the updraft dashboard. So far only full backups create a restore point, which are then updated with the incremental ones – but I can always only choose the most recent version.
Or do I need to do this manually If I want to roll back to a certain incremental backup?
Thx.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Reload after consentoh boy … I just realized that I turned off the placeholders. But I also remembered why I turned them off in the first place. When I turn them on it actually works even less and behaves even more randomly.
With the placeholders turned off I just know, that everything kinda works (on a technical level) – scripts are getting blocked aso. – after consent I just need to reload the page and everything works fine.
This is why I initially asked for only an option to reload the page. If the placeholders come into the equation things are getting even more “funny” and are not working at all.
I leave the placeholders turned on for now – so that you can see them.
Just let me know when I can turn them back off – it is a live site – and things are looking very “funky” at the moment.
(Do you think it is realistic to find an “okay solution”? If yes I would go and buy the plugin next week to kinda justify the support effort. If not – I would still buy the plugin ?? because this is as close as it gets to something that actually works without being a developer – I`ll just go back to the original setup with the placeholders turned off and inform the user to reload the page after consent).
Thx

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Reload after consentHi,
I completely deactivated my caching plugin (Swift Performance)
Lazy Loading is activated by default in WP 5.5 – but I deactivated it as well by adding this to my function.php “add_filter( ‘wp_lazy_loading_enabled’, ‘__return_false’ );”
But there is no effect – still need to reload the website.
Thanks

(the button on the bottom right “*Was ist KIKKI.io” has a popup with videos)https://kikki.io/schauspiel/marie-musterfrau/
(The tab “Showreel” has videos)Thank you a lot!

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Reload after consentThx a lot!!! Your support is amazing when scrolling through the topics!
Me personally I wouldnt actually mind to not see the placeholders as long as the blocking and un-blocking of cookies/scripts itself kinda works, because this whole consent-cookie thing seems to be quiet tough and a hassle to make it work perfectly.
I am definitely looking forward to your reply.
Thx again
Hi THX for the quick reply!!
I double checked everything .. cleared everything .. turned things (also Caching aso.) on and off.
And its infact gone. Sorry, you were right.
I thought I already did all of that but obviously not thoroughly enough. Maybe some cache “left overs” in the browser – from building the page – I honestly dont know.
My SSL worked fine – this really only happended when the consent-banner appeared – so i connected it to the banner. But it was probably cache.
Long story short … everything works fine now!!
Thx ??
