Alex – I have this exact same issue – how does one disable the memory limit?
Well, I forcibly got Next-Gen to work again – still no idea why – but what I did was uninstall those Next-Gen add-ins & plug-ins that I wasn’t using…and low & behold, it’s back to it’s old wonderful self. I hope this helps others running into the same issue
Anybody have any idea on how to solve this issue? Thought…could it be a memory issue with this plugin…I have another site on the same server using NextGen, and it has no problems. It also has only 16 galleries, where the one with the issues has 107. Have I run into a memory limit or something?
Just performed the plug-in check, and received a very strange message:
Check plugin/theme conflict
No conflict could be detectedfailed Test image function
Couldn’t create image, check your memory limitok Check theme compatibility
Your theme should work fine with NextGEN GalleryAs far as I know, I have no memory limits – either personally, or on the server. No problem with any of the other plug-ins, WordPress or html files.
Same situation, same issue, Nextgen seems to be working, but after the indicator reads done, it just hangs.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: hackedAfter some digging around my site – I found a strange index.php file in my root folder. Sure enough this file is doing the damage. I have changed the permissions to 0000 and have passed the file onto my hosting company to see what they think, and how I can correct the damage done to my site.
The title within the code is: <title>Hacked By qc.8 @ hotmail.com</title> so I would look for that file and shut it down. After that – I don’t know, but I hope to know soon.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: hackedI’ve been hit with that also – but I used what I thought was a strong user name / password, but I guess I’m wrong. I also cannot log in now, nor, have WP send me a new password because it says that my email address don’t exist. I have password protected the folder which WP is installed in so hopefully, there will not be any further damage, but my search for a fix has been futile.
Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

I can’t seem to find an option which allows configuring PHP settings, but the server settings within next-gen reports:
# PHP Version : 5.2.14
# PHP Safe Mode : Off
# PHP Allow URL fopen : On
# PHP Memory Limit : 32M
# PHP Max Upload Size : 2M
# PHP Max Post Size : 8MWhat am I missing?

I have also experienced this error – and when / if it does bring the list up – I cannot scroll through all the gallery’s available – of 136 gallery’s the list will stop consistently at #86 with what appears to be an <HR> below it.
Strange thing is – I can insert a single picture from them but not from the dedicated “insert” button. I can also hard code them – but – of course it is much easier with the dedicated button.
I have the latest version installed – and did not experience this with the previous version.
Please advise

I am also having problems after upgrading to WP 3.0.03. Don’t know what happened but the following errors are showing up at the top of the post…

We’re getting closer!
(1) It is exactly the list of galleries on the “Manage Galleries” screen that I’m trying to have sorted by name instead of ID.
(2) When in the “Add New Post” screen, there is an icon that allows me to select whether to add a “Gallery” and “Album” or a “Picture”
There are two options under “Gallery”:
(A) Select Gallery:
(B) Show as “Image list,” “Slideshow,” or “Image browser”Next to option (A) “Select Gallery” – there is a pull down box. It is the list within this pull down box that I am trying to sort by the name of the gallery, and NOT the ID.

I’m sorry, I just can’t seem to get this across ?? Sooooooooooooo Let’s try this one more time…
From the Word Press Dashboard Page…
Under “Gallery” select “Manage Gallery…
The list of galleries that appear…THAT is one of the lists I’m speaking about. This particular gallery is sorted by date or maybe gallery number – But I would like to sort it by the name of the gallery for ease of finding a particular gallery without having to read each and every one.
The other is…
Within a post…
Select “Add NextGen Gallery”
the Option to “Select Gallery”…is the OTHER LIST I am speaking about. This gallery is sorted in reverse order of the one above. Which is fine if your inserting the just created gallery – however, if you are looking for one further back, it against gets kind of tiresome having to read each and every one to find it.
I hope this explains it a bit better, I hope…Mike
I’m sorry I should have been more specific.
I’m speaking about both the “insert gallery” list when inserting a gallery into a post – AND – the manage gallery list, when…ah…managing galleries.
As the moment they both are sorted by creation date – and I would like to sort them by something a bit more usable like alpha.
