Hi there, you can mark this as solved. After your message I created a new site and added just smartmag and the events calendar and could see that it worked. I then compared the settings on my old site with the new one and noticed that the setting in the Events Calendar -> Settings -> Display -> Events Template (Dropdown) was different. On my old site it was ‘Default Page Template’ and on the new site it was ‘Default Events Template’. Changing the template to ‘Default Events Template’ resolved the issue. ‘Default Page Template’ also works on the new install, so probably a hangover from many years of updating Smartmag on the old site. Thank you for your help.

Hey there, thanks for responding. I have updated the plugin. It works unless I tick the tickbox labelled ‘Use updated calendar designs’, at which point it disappears again. I am fine with that for now and can see you have changed the default and re-worded the option to use the new views. Hopefully in the future I will be able to use the new views too.

No apology necessary, your foresight in adding the legacy version tickbox has made this a non-issue. Good to hear you are aware and working on a fix, thank you for letting us know

I definitely think this is a transient issue.

It sounds like, at some point, a function is running which is setting the transient, a function like:

wc_get_attribute_taxonomies()

and this could well be why it will suddenly work.

I’m with Gunu here – thank you very much for the method of fixing the issue but what happens if one of my clients updates the plugin?
