[Update has been published by plugin author, solving the issue]

    It now works.
    Thank you!

@fierevere “it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access” => Hi, just FYI, Amandeep never asked me anything like this (or I didn’t understand what he asked). And he never got any particular access to anything. When I asked if he tried some things, it was on his own server or computer as if he was using the plugin himself. That’s all. Sorry if it might have been misleading. Cheers.

    Hi,

It is very good you managed to reproduce the issue. Non-USD prices are shown, but INCORRECT ones (in the multi-currency widget).

I tried the fix you mentioned: It does NOT solve the problem on my end. Even if I recreate another widget afterwards + deactivate and reactivate the plugin. Anyway, I will happily wait for the update.

Please double check the multi-currency widget prices are correct before publishing it. You can have a look at a simple list or advanced table in any non-USD currency, they are OK there. And you can look all this directly in the previews inside the widget creation section.

    Thank you for your effort.
    Take care.

PS: I will mark this thread as solved as soon as the working update has been published

    Hi,

As said, I did try on another new and fresh install.
Please just answer the asked question: Do you manage to set up a **multi currency** widget and get correct Bitcoin prices in EUR on your side?

Did you try? If yes, and it’s indeed supposed to work, I will spend more time on my end. As said too, other widgets do work fine with another currency set up in the options.

    Thank you.

I’m not sure what you mean by “demo link” :/ You want a link to my sites where the problem occurs? You can check https://dripping.website/prices/ and https://bitcoinplace.co

But, do you manage to install your plugin with an API key, set up a multi currency widget and get correct Bitcoin prices in EUR, for example? Is that working correctly if you try it on your side?

    Thanks for your answer.
Deactivating & reactivating does solve (2). Indeed.

As for (1), it doesn’t. I even tried to delete & reinstall (and a fresh install on another site). The price for NON-USD currencies are incorrect on the Multi currency tabs widget. But I tried a simple list or an advanced table and selected one currency in the parameters, here it works fine.

The issue seems specific to the multi currency widget. It looks like it’s not using the API but maybe a fixed rate instead. May there be a bug there? (I tried on 2 different sites on 2 different servers)

    Thank you

“If you whitelist your domain name, it will be follow in the author URL”: I was about to write an answer saying it doesn’t, but then I tested a bit more, and it seems the URL white listing doesn’t in fact work at all on my side. A whitelisted URL mentioned in the comment itself (even in a comment written by a white listed email address) also stays no follow in any case. The author URL of whitelisted email addresses works. Whatever the “Author” URL, if the email is whitelisted, the link will be dofollow. But that’s it for me. If you need more info, please just ask. Is this on my side? (I wouldn’t see why. This install is pretty clean and “classic” with all the latest versions of everything. Really nothing exotic).

“Maybe we should include a check to always whitelist the domain where WordPress is installed”: I don’t think this is necessary. People can simply whitelist their domain (or not, if they don’t want to. Maybe there are some use case where it’s unwanted. In this latter scenario, you would just create a situation impossible to get out of. I feel it is good to have to manually whitelist it).

    Cheers.

Now with your update of half an hour ago, everything worked perfectly! Thanks.

    Hi @kazitihum

    Great.
You’re very welcome. Thank YOU for your plugin.
No update is showing up or even possible, it seems. I believe it may be because you didn’t update the version count. You corrected and uploaded it while keeping it as “version 1.0.0”, don’t you?

I think you have to make a change to the version number each time. This is probably why it doesn’t propose me to update it (I see “updated one week ago” on your wordpress plugin page, though).

A documentation will be very nice, indeed.

    Hi @kazitihum ,

I’ve tested on 2 very different installs on two different servers, and the error was the same. So, I’m convinced you’ll get it by trying on your own wordpress install (I believe this isn’t dependent on a particular situation).

But here is the debug log if it can help:

    According to Matomo:

The problem is this plugin (Note: Adshares) embed an old version of a component which is incompatible with matomo

    the old component is twig.

    Hi,

    the system report is anonymized

Oh, right. I didn’t see that (I looked more at the table showing the info and not enough at the actual generated report). But I don’t think it will be of any use as you already answered the question. Thank you.

    I can reproduce the problem.
The problem is this plugin embed an old version of a component which is incompatible with matomo.

Ok, great. Thanks for your help.
Or i could maybe try to make the developers of this plugin update it. Just a last question to help me with this: Could you please give me any information about which “component” they’re using an old version of? So that I can indicate to them where and what causes the problem.

    Thank you again
    Kind regards

You would really just have to install the adshares plugin (publicly available on www.remarpro.com plugin base) on a current install with matomo. You would immediately see if the problem arise or not. It doesn’t really “break” anything. Everything gets back in order when you uninstall Adshares (pr just deactivate it)

    (@mevo)

Hi, thank you for your quick answer. I doubt there will be anything really interesting in the report (I had a look, nothing seems out of the ordinary). Ideally, if you could try to install Matomo and Adshares on a fresh WordPress install, you should encounter the same problem. From there, you could see if something is doable on your side, or if it may be totally the “other plugin’s fault” (the error is on yours in the end, thought).

I will try to do a fresh install with only these 2 plugins on a different server to confirm the problem is reproducible (and it isn’t something specific to my situation). I’ll confirm this to you quickly (I should have done this first!). In fact, I did, but on the same server…

No problem to share the report with you if it may have a use. Is there just a way I can send it to you without having to post it publicly?

    Thanks.
