Thanks for your response – I was using the code from the plugin information page.

It turned out the quotation marks were in a different format – I switched them to the ones my computer recognizes, and it now works.

Problem solved – It happened to be a setting within a plugin called Yoast SEO.

If anyone happens to come across a similar problem, and you’re using the above plugin.

Hover over SEO on the side bar, click Titles & Metas – Click Archives – and then enable the “Date Archive Settings”
