In reply to: visual and code editor deactivatedI found what creates the error for my installation. It’s a enhanced contact form plugin that I installed. Whenever I want to use those editors I simply deactivate the plugin, do what i need to do and turn it on again. I have no idea why it happens so, probably some bug with the plugin

In reply to: visual and code editor deactivatedthanks for your concern handysolo
seems like it’s fixed now…..I just deactivated those plugins and re activated them again….and now seems like it’s working.
Meanwhile, I did try it with internet explorer 7 (i was primarily workin on mozilla) and it still had that problem.
But except for fixing it, i wanted to know the reason (may be also report some bug) but I don’t know why, how and from which plugin it happened (or may be some host server error)
Anyway thanks

In reply to: visual and code editor deactivatedit’s not working yet
that was checked already, and I do see the two buttons at the top of the main contents box.
The problem is that they are not active (not clickalble) and the text shows up directly as in code editor. It’s not that much of a deal, I simply want to know what I did wrong. The only thing I was doing before that was activating Akismet and wp-contactform and that’s basically it ??

In reply to: having two blogs (pages with different set of posts each)Yeah alakhnor,
That’s what I was thinking too, I just thought to try and post here may be there is something shorter that I don’t know about…I just started looking at wordpress a week ago (1 hr per day) so I don’t know all the existing tricks. But that makes sense.
Thanks to both of you.
Thank you doodlebee too, for your clear explanationThe shortest way is certainly to use categories.
Have home.php with link to category 1 being ‘books’ and category 2 being ‘articles’.
Then you can create category-1.php and category-2.php which be used when you call either one of them. And you can have totally different templates for them (with a little coding though).

In reply to: having two blogs (pages with different set of posts each)thanks for the quick reply,
what i want is this:
I have a main menu….let’s say there are three main “buttons” (directing to other pages) under the main menu : 1. home 2. articles 3. booksWhen I add posts, all the posts are added only to one page (let’s say that I have set up the blog to be at the articles page )
I also want to add posts to the books page. How do I do that
Is that clear?
