In reply to: [Gutenberg] Pasting text adds leading and trailing spacesHi David,
I’m having the same issue that is addressed in that github link. It began happening a handful of weeks ago, although I do not recall if it came directly as a result of the WordPress update to 5.8.
I am using the latest version of WordPress (5.8.1) which I presume includes the latest version of Gutenberg.
If I were to screen shot the error, I’m not sure where to post the video. My apologies. In order to reproduce:
Use Windows 10 and latest Chrome browser.
Create a new Post.
Write some text such as “Hello I am some text. Let’s copy me.”
Using your mouse, highlight words in that text, being sure not to copy any whitespace.
Paste the copied text onto the end of a sentence or in a new block.
See that there are spaces added to either side of the text you pasted. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Pasting text adds leading and trailing spaces@soberbanda Thank you, I did not know it should be directed towards Gutenberg support. I’ve submitted the request there for support. Thanks again!

In reply to: Pasting text adds leading and trailing spacesHi Kuldeep,
It was resolved at that time. However, it seems that upon the update to WordPress ~ 5.7 or 5.8, the issue has once again returned. The github page provided was for reference on the re-occurring bug. Thanks.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for following up. I’ll be replacing various other plugins with GN Publisher as it seems very promising. I’ll also be happy to follow up regarding Webp and the app.
Aside from that, I’m having trouble conceptualizing the functionality of my RSS feed versus the Google News XML sitemap that Yoast generates. Both seem essential to appear on Google News. What does the RSS feed do that the XML sitemap does not, and vice-versa? Which drives the response from Google to potentially feature our articles in Google News, Google Discover, etc.?
If you could let me know as I don’t want to be stomping on my own toes. Thanks so much!

In reply to: Static Homepage: Posts Page Optional? Thanks, Tim. There’s some anecdotal evidence leaning towards one way or another, but I wish the folks at WordPress were more definitive on this. Will keep pursuing.
Thanks for following up. I sent along all of the information per your advice. Thanks.

In reply to: ?utm_source=rss Being Added to URLs Causing Too Many Redirect ErrorDo you have the MonsterInsights plugin? That was the most recent plugin we disabled and as of yesterday none of the 5 posts that were posted to the site experienced this issue. So for the time being, that’s the plugin we’re focusing on. Thanks.
