Thanks again, Steve, for the reassuring info! I have done a fair amount of customizing of the Sunspot .css files, and am using a child so as not to lose this when the theme is updated.

I am wanting to play around with a few photography-oriented themes, as most of my blog posts have lots of photographs and might work better with one of them as opposed to Sunspot. But I am wanting the option of reverting, and so very glad this will be easy.

Thanks! Where would I find inactive widgets? And simply making them active will not do the job, according to what I understand from your response?

Changing the site url (via functions.php) worked like a charm to get rid of the redirect. Thanks hugely!

Is there a way to revert to http? In other words, to kill the redirect.

Thanks! I do understand that there are mixed content issues leading to warning messages, but why should that prevent me from accessing the wordpress dashboard?

I have created an SSL exception in my browser (Firefox), to no avail.

It does add the sharing buttons automatically, and also seems to use image icons. So there must be another reason???

I cannot use the facebook feather share plugin with the lightbox. When I click on the share button, it gives an error message that content cannot be loaded.

At the moment, the feather plugin is disabled, but I can enable it if you wish to visit these sites and see the problem for yourself.

The social media feather plugin author posted this in response to my questions.

It seems that plugin tries to apply its lightbox effects to all images inside posts. That is a really bad design choice, as this will mean any thumbnail image will be loaded inside the lightbox, even though the container anchor for the image points to a non-image URL. Your only option is to contact the author to make him add an option to NOT open the lightbox on links that don’t point to image files, or switch to a different lightbox plugin.

I have it activated for images in posts and pages. I cannot find a setting to enable on all images.

@ Synved – Yes, jquery colorbox is the culprit! But unless I can find another plugin that will give a fullscreen overlay of photographs, I am stuck.

This problem did not occur until your last upgrade. I disabled all of my plugins and it still did not work correctly.

I am only using jQuery Color lightbox.

WP does not use /artblog for files. That is the url I created for this blog. The main install is in /wordpress.

I have reverted to a single install, and will try to do the multi-site again.

I have done everything by the book, but cannot afford to do a complete re-install of wp, because I would lose all my posts, articles, etc. And it does not seem there is a way to just do a multi-site re-install.

I double-checked all the config files and .htacess, and everything is correct.
