Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site Address Greyed Out – Need to Add WWWHosted on Bluehost. Everything should be set up. This was a site that I had migrated over from a local host and everything works except changing the homepage to the www version. Everything seems to have “755” permissions.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site Address Greyed Out – Need to Add WWWThanks for the suggestions but unfortunately that did no work. I got the same results, website came up with no styling and half the images were broken. I noticed that a lot of the links were pointing to “https://127.0.0.1:8080/wordpress/…….” then my page title…STUMPED…
Running out of ideas! Maybe I should try another plug in??? No easier way to transfer over a basic site from my local machine to my host?
I read that page and did what they said in the wo-config.php file and it seems to have fixed the duplicate domain issue but now when i try to resave permalinks it gives me a 404 error. Also, on the main page (and on the 404 page) there is no styling and there are broken images.

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Install/configure WordPress with my existing siteWhat I want is to set up our current site in a wordpress format, without having the main page go down. So I think installing it locally, configuring all the pages/layout, then transferring it to my host is what I want to do. Is that even possible, to get the site how I want it on my local machine then somehow transfer it over to my host? How would I even go about transferring things over so that the links and everything work??? I’ve only installed wordpress using the one-click options (on other pages) so I’m not familiar with how I would do this…Thanks!
