5.1.0.3 is definitely NOT a good thing to have live at your site.

I’ve seen first hand some bad code inside site’s footer most likely due to the non-secure version of the plug-in.

What I ended up doing took a while, but everything seems ok:

Updated the plug-in, then using the “way back machine” internet archive tool at https://archive.org/web/ followed along the old copy of the forms I made and just re-made them from scratch…

best of luck and be careful, this malware/hack stuff is no joke and wastes a ton of time…

If anyone has a large index and re-builds it from scratch… maybe just wait a bit for the server to catch up !

I kept getting re-directed to the install screen…

5 minutes later my site re-appeared!

Must have been a temporary error while the search index was re-building?

until the issue is fixed, here’s what I did (maybe this helps you):

de-activate and re-activate plug-in… the previous forms and submissions are still nowhere to be found, but the plug-in works.

Then using “the way back machine” web.archive.org, to see what I actually had already made in previous forms, I went and made a new form following snapshots of the site (hopefully the internet archive has what you need there). Updated the contact form # in the page content and tested it and it works…

it’s a not-so-quick fix for now, but hopefully there’s a fix sooner than later, especially if folks want to download previous form submissions…

hmm… across each site where I used Custom Contact Forms the forms I made simply vanished.

I too, am on a Quest to find a way to edit the Upload Date of a media file (image) . . I love that I can back-log Posts by entering in Dates from the past – helps me keep track of art that was made at a certain day – especially for an art archive that goes back to late 90’s https://camilographics.com/art-archive

But can I change the upload date? no . . . I’d like to this because the hierarchy of the images for certain plug-ins . .it’s like, once you upload the first image into a post, it’s the first one and that’s it (unless you delete it or replace it using that replace plug-in) . . I want to change the Upload Date, seems so simple why can’t I figure that out? is it something deeper on the server side, a time stamp of sorts?

U know, Maurice, you’re right, thickbox does work better, more stable… So i just stayed with that…

although I would have liked to use the Shadowbox effect, it preserves Transparency and looks real slick if used well…

In my Web, Illustration and Design Pages I have the NextGen Gallery on, showing 6 thumbnails at a time, when clicked they open open the shutter pop-up window.

Great! I love it.

Ok. But, if I move quickly from one page to another and immediately click a thumbnail, the shutter effect does not work and the image opens in a blank window, and the visitor needs to click BACK to get back to my site.. the end result is that the website seems broken. I’ve been trying to solve this problem with all the different SUPPORT systems out there and there’s been no help with this issue. I think if I can’t figure this out within another few days I’m going to UN-INSTALL NextGen… what other choice do I have ?

Sometimes the thumbnail will open the gallery image into the pop-up…
sometimes it opens into a blank window and the user has to press BACK to go back to my website.

Does anyone anywhere have any suggestions on this problem we’re having?

I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution for this…

If I click quickly from one thumbnail sample to another (after closing the full-size pop-up, of course)

the next full image opens up in it’s own blank page instead of in the nice pop-up.

Is there any way to fix this from happening?
