Thank you! It has worked now, and I have done the steps you’ve recommended.

Embarrassingly enough, I may just have missed the cue that it can be edited. I re-applied the Twenty Twenty-Three theme and it was a clearer indicator that I could edit that line. After I re-activated Twenty Twenty-Four, I just had to type after clicking on the excerpt text box.

Hi, I can’t seem to click on the “Read more” link from the Site Editor page. It works if I am creating a custom page or new page, but not when I am just in “Blog Home”.

Could anyone point me in the right direction please?
