I have WordPress set up on the live site already- I am just trying to migrate the database from local to live.

I had thought that didn’t involve the wp-config file – is this incorrect?

Yes, I realise they are different – but how do I make the side bar sit on the side, not the bottom.

Thanks for the tip…I was really hoping to fix it with the current set up….as it seems like I am missing something really small.

When I have the page set up without the blog entry it works fine – its when the blog entry gets added that the sidebar moves to the bottom if that sheds any light.

Anyone else have any ideas??

Heya – got some help it was all because I hadn’t reset the query when finished using it: <?php wp_reset_query(); ?>

When I change the settings in the reading section it turns the home page into the a regular content page and the blog page into the current home page.

Hi, thankyou. I have tried turning off plugins but that didnt work.

I am adding in the alt tags to the media library but they are not showing up on the validator. Seems strange, any ideas?

Ok, thanks working my way through them. I built most of the theme so no one to contact for support.

The validation checker is saying that I am missing alt tags on my images. I am putting them in via the media uploader but no change, any idea how I fix this?

Looks like you have a side bar somewhere in there, if you can put the website online it will be easy for someone to see exactly what the problem is.

Hiya, thanks, yes I have tried the plugins and default theme that didnt work, but yes, I will get onto those markup errors and hopefully that will sort it out.

Just wanted to develop on this in case anyone can help, as I am having trouble.

Most of the images were transferred when I the site went from local to live server – a few weren’t. The media uploader is’nt working – and neither is it working when I just insert html code : https://qualitymatters.ie/index.php/latest-news/ You can see on this page. The image file is in the folder – so does anyone know what could be causing this?

Any help greatly appreciated
