In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] Decent plugin, horrible setup eperience.Well, before contacting support I wanted to make sure I tried all possible options. I read through all support threads related to this issue and none could fix it for me.
Thank you for updating the documentation, that will surely help improve overall user experience with your plugin. But for a definitive fix I suggest you make it easy to disconnect from wordpress.com from your plugin.
I am really curious to know why this isn’t a functionality already? It seems so basic to me. It either was missed when requirements were written or there’s a technical blocker. Either way, this should be built in your plugin’s functionality.

In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] Decent plugin, horrible setup eperience.Hi @simplysaru. The debugging page is completely useless for wordpress.com connection issues. Why? You don’t have the option to disconnect from WordPress.com. Here’s proof of that: https://imgur.com/a/9NypfjH
Your FAQ page and Common Erros page do not cover the scenario where you need to disconnect WordPress.com account and you don’t have Jetpack installed.
Please actually take the time to read and understand my problem before replying with a canned (standardized) comment. ??
Your problem with this plugin that caused me 3 hours of unnecessary frustration is: you can’t disconnect from Jetpack (WordPress.com) from inside Google for Woocommerce (your plugin).
Why would you not make this easy to do? I had to figure it out on my own that I need to install Jetpack (even though I never had it installed) to be able to disconnect from Jetpack (and wordpress.com). Does that not sound absurd to you?
Right so I eventually found the way to do it and the process is just…well..unnecessarily complicated (I’m doing my best to use civil words).
So if you want to disconnect wordpress.com account from this plugin you can’t do it from the actual plugin. No no..you have to:
- Install Jetpack plugin (Jetpack – WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth) – yes, you need to do it, only way to disconnect. Why would you need to install an additional plugin to disconnect from Jetpack? I don’t know, ask the developers.
- Go to Jetpack >> Dashboard
- Look for the Connections sections >> Site connection
- Click on Manage and a pop-up will appear
- Click on the red disconnect button
Now when you restart the setup process, you will be able to connect to a different wordpress.com account.
Apparently the plugin uses Jetpack services to connect to wordpress.com and that’s why you need to disconnect from Jetpack even if you never installed that plugin.
The plugin authors have mentioned a guide to disconnect from Jetpack but it covers only the scenario where you already had Jetpack installed: https://jetpack.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/#remove-active-site
To the developers: why, for the love of God, would you not make disconnection from Jetpack built in your plugin? When someone clicks disconnect from all accounts it should do just that!
You are causing A LOT of unnecessary frustratiation in your users.

In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] Disconnect WordPress Link To PluginIf you connect a wordpress.com account during the setup and at a later time you realize it was the wrong wordpress.com account, you’re tough out of luck. If you click on “disconnect from all accounts” your wordpress.com account would still be there while all others would be disconnected.
Why would you people make it like this? Jesus Christ, I’ve been working with wordpress for almost 12 years and I’ve never seen such a badly made plugin. Are you trying deliberately to piss off your user base? It’s just disgraceful!
