In reply to: [LH Add Media From Url] Add CDN URL, but don’t download into WordPressWhat I want is to add a link to a CDN image, show the thumbnail in the media gallery, and be able to use that CDN image any time I search for it in the media gallery — but that CDN image is never downloaded into the wordpress upload folder. It remains in the CDN server. In short, the wordpress database only stores the CDN URL.
My wordpress hosting doesn’t have a lot of hard disk space, and I prefer it to stay that way. I have my images externally in a CDN server.

In reply to: Image Block goes bonkersFound the culprit. Every time I edited the page, and replaced all the CDN URLs, wordpress was rewriting the URL back to the wordpress’s upload folder and downloading a new copy with weird number strings, replacing also the name of the image file.
I started to deactivate plugins one by one. It was the Squirrly SEO plugin.
The behavior stopped. WTF Squirrly. You are not a cache plugin, nor an image management plugin. Stick to SEO.

In reply to: Media Library: Insert URLThanks. Will do.
I just installed 2.0.1. The requested feature is back. Thanks. It’s a time-saver for those of us who use other plugins that do not have a Tablepress button in the toolbar. I usually copy/paste the Tablepress shortcode code inside Accordion Pro tables manually.
Hi TobiasBG.
I think your response is ignoring the request everyone is asking of you, and you sound non-commital on the request by saying: “I’ll just to have work around some edge cases as to the detection whether the Shortcode should be displayed (e.g. for copy/paste) or not.”
Yes, it is nice that the Shortcut feature is backward-compatible. That’s not what we are saying.
By telling us that you expect us to manually write the shortcut code every single time we need to, you are ruining everyone’s workflow. You don’t realize how often Tablepress is used. I am already at ID 857.
What we want is for you to restore the ability to copy the shortcut code from the ID field, so that we can paste it as we have always done. Please.
This “before & after” image sums up what we are asking you.
The Cloudflare plugin was causing the issue. I disabled it, and I can now edit the table to disable the javascript data.
@tobiasbg I think you should consider setting these OFF by default in the next plugin update.
I forgot to disabled it manually in a table. Now I am getting three types of errors.
1. Saving failed: AJAX call failed: error – Internal Server Error. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.
2. When I clicked edit and manually disabled the TablePress Javascript OFF, when I attempt to save the page, it continues to say: Saving failed: AJAX call failed: error – Internal Server Error. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.
3. Holding the Shift key to save the table then gives me this error: There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. Learn more about debugging in WordPress.
4. I tried to create a new Table — but when I click “Add New Table” from the wordpress left menu, I get a full blank page.
I updated wordpress to 5.5.1 — but I had not seen this issue so aggressive before. I have seen the Ajax issue before, but easily fixed. Now it won’t.
Site has run via Cloudflare for years without problems.

In reply to: [Image and Video Lightbox, Image PopUp] Disable lightbox videos by DefaultI solved my problem. Uninstalled your Lightbox plugin and picked a third-party Lightbox plugin that isn’t intrusive with links as yours is.
You already have a YouTube embed plugin, so it was redundant and harmful to Youtubers to add the embed function to the gallery lightbox. Your plugin cost me over $100 in YouTube revenue.

In reply to: How do I remove READ FEED button from RSS widget?Well, don’t know what to say. The button is showing up, and no idea how to edit it out. The RSS widget comes with the wordpress (5.4.1).

In reply to: How do I remove READ FEED button from RSS widget?Hi Steve. From the admin side, you go to APPEARANCE — WIDGETS.
Then drag the RSS widget to any of the wordpress blocks.

I was asked to be patient. New update was released (I installed it on May 19). Still unable to load wp-admin nor the frontpage when I activate this plugin.

In reply to: WordPress 5.1.1 – can’t add images or custom URLUpdate: The Cloudflare issue was resolved. I purged the Cloudflare cache. Later, I turned off all plugins.
I added a Gallery block with 1 image. Pressed “UPDATE” to save the page. The same error persists.
At this point, I have to suspect it is a wordpress 5.1.1 bug.
Another possibility might be the recent Redirection Version 4.2.3 plugin that updated the database — but I can’t see how that can affect the use of Gallery, Image, and Custom HTML blocks — and only those.
Without those three blocks, I can post as normal.
This problem started happening to me since Tue, April 23.

In reply to: WordPress 5.1.1 – can’t add images or custom URLI’m troubleshooting. Disabled some plugins. Issue persists. When that didn’t work, I went to Cloudflare to purge all cache (just in case there was a conflict).
Can’t even load any of the tabs: Cache, Speed, Analytics, etc. over at Cloudflare. I think Cloudflare is having issues.
Unsure if it is related with the wordpress woes at the moment.
