In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Contact Form Stopped Working on Multiple SitesI just noticed exactly the same. None of my Contact Form 7 forms work anymore. Some fields turn yellow on blur. The spinning wheel appears and that’s it. Current WordPress version is 4.8
The error I can see in the console window on submitting is: https://www.splendesco.nl/wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/6195/feedback/ 404 (Not Found)
I never removed anything myself. Anybody any idea?
John

In reply to: [Evergreen Countdown Timer] Straightforward and simple to use. You’re welcome. Come to think of it. Another nice addition would be to be able to simply enter an end date and time for the countdown and have the software take care of the rest. That would definitely make life easier ??

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Bug with form shortcode (?)Hmm, weird. As soon as I switch to the default theme twentyfifteen, it is working again. As switching the theme currently is not an option (and as it did work until recently) do you have a suggestion on how to solve this?
Thanks for your help and support sofar.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Bug with form shortcode (?)I am using the Aegaeus theme. Other active plugins are:
WP Topbar
Simple Twotter Tweets
Shareaholic
Really Simple Captcha
Popups – WordPress Popup
Mailchimp for WordPress lite
Facebook Conversion Pixel
BOL Partner plugin for WordPressIt has been working in the current configuration until recently. I have already disabled all plugins, but that changes nothing.
Even if I can retrieve the id en title of the form from the source code as pasted above, any help/solution is applreciated.
Thanks,

In reply to: Redirects with two wp installationsI just discovered something strange (at least to me)
If I call https://www.splendesco.nl/trainingen/?p=3098767356 then all of a sudden the redirect works and takes me to https://www.splendesco.nl/workshops-en-trainingen/
So any random query string behind the url makes all redirects work. Does this in anyway clarify the issue to you? Without it they stil do not work.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Acceptance box interfering with send button functionalitySo
[acceptance acceptance-blah acceptance_as_validation: on]
should allow me to send the form? And if the box was not checked, it would show an error message? Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it doesn’t work for me. The send button remains disabled. This default behavior is confusing for the user I think. All other mandatory fields have error messages.

In reply to: Spooky contact formOkay, let it be then. I was only looking for suggestions on how to debug. I was assuming that there would be people here with enough knowledge of wordpress to push me in the right direction and that no knowledge of the theme is needed for that. Sorry for my mistake.

In reply to: Spooky contact formAlas, thanks for your reply, but that does not solve it. My guess is that somewhere in the php code there is some check on the url ans as soon as /contact/ is in the url then somehow this form is miraculously triggered to show up. This only happens on the Default template, none of the others (except for the contact page template, where it should obviously). This also happens when the contact page is a child of another and the url becomes something link /plop/contact/
Pure witchcraft, at least for the ‘not-understanding’ like me ??

In reply to: Spooky contact formI tried that, but that theme does not have a separate contact page template, so obviously the problem wil not appear there. And that is one of the reasons why this is so hard to debug. I have no theme with a comparable setup of templates which I can check against.
I now have a local setup with the Aegaeus theme installed but with no plugins activated at all.
I understand it’s logical to assume that it’s theme-related, but I am not 100% convinced. I hoped that with any of you experts the fact that the default form only shows with the default template when have /contact/ in the url would somehow ring a bell ?? What could possibly cause this?
Tnx for your responses sofar.

In reply to: Spooky contact formAnd … it could also simply be WordPress related, I don’t know. I do not have another theme available with a similar setup of templates. So I cannot compare.

In reply to: Spooky contact formI am, but this has not gotten my anywhere up until now. I’m not looking for a ready to use fix, I am simply asking on ways to debug this.
Thanx.

In reply to: Who gives the final roundup on file and directory permissionsRhand, all I need to know is under what permissions for files and folder a WordPress installation under Apache/PHP5 can run normally … and what is needed in terms op a PHP configuration.
I requested ‘no links’ as a lot of information I find is merely discussion, and does not provide a final or clear answer. Other than that, I’m still reading up, but for me it only gets more confusing. Thanks for your input.

In reply to: Who gives the final roundup on file and directory permissionsRhand, thanks for your input. I just installed the plugin, but I think it gives me wrong information; according to the plugin my wp-admin/index.php is set to 755, while actually it is set to 644 (checked with FTP software). Other than that it gives no errors; just some usefull tips regardinfg e.g. the table prefix and admin username.
I don’t see how this will help me any further.
Tnx.
