I’ve worked out that I will only get notified of a new post when it is created through the Word Press admin area. When I create a new post through the front-end (public) site, no notification is sent/received. Any idea how to fix this?

The reason why I posted is because the labels are not updating even after clicking ‘update-list’. Unfortunately your suggestion wasn’t helpful.

Is there anyway to manually update the fields to match?

Is there a solution to the label names issue that I’m having? I’d be happy to manually change them if it is possible.
