In reply to: How to add media destination linksSo, I humbly thank you for your help. As it turns out, it was a theme widget issue. The theme logo widget did not allow direct links. I remedied the issue by using the standard WP text widget with html code to display and link the images in the footer.
Thank you for your help. This post directed me to find the correct answer.
Cheers.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksFooter images are added via a logo widget, in Ultimatum theme.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksWould love to screenshots. How do I do that here?

In reply to: How to add media destination linksI understand that. This is why I came here to find out what is up.
There is no way to link media fields in my wp media manager. Honestly, I’m not un-practiced here. This is why I’m confused.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to add media destination linksSwitched to twenty twelve, media manager shows the same thing. Not like 3.5 update versions.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksHa ha. This support ticket. Was not sure if it was still open when you said to check theme support. No offense intended. Sorry to put you on edge. WP Version 3.5.1.
Give me a minute to switch themes and check.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksI’m not sure if that will work. Ultimatum is a theme builder, not a stand alone theme, and many component’s won’t work/show with out it loaded. But I’ll give that a try to check for differences in the media manager interface.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksMy wp version still shows all the columns and tabs fields in the media manager. It does not appear to have 3.5 media updates? How can I have 3.5.1 installed and not show these updates?
Is this support tag still open?
Thanks,

In reply to: How to add media destination linksI use the theme support all the time. This is a WP issue. They say the same thing. My version of WP does not have the media interface as shown above.

In reply to: How to add media destination linksThis link (a youtube tut on 3.5 media manager): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdZeUkRWRlw … shows how to link to a custom url to your media file. Mine (3.5.1) does not have this interface at all.
Any idea why?

In reply to: How to add media destination linksUnderstand that. Thanks again. Above code does not work either. The only place my image editor allows to configure a link is in the image description field. This is where I’m adding your code. All my footer image links revert to the site url as you found when looking. I am using the WP media editor. In 3.5 the media manager was updated. Mine (3.5.1) does not look like the tutorials I look at on youtube. This is weird. Any other thoughts?

In reply to: How to add media destination linksThanks. But the issue – the images in question are not in a post. There just in the media library and the footer via a theme specific logo widget. The Theme is Ultimatum.

My media editor looks different from 3.5 than 3.5.1. Is this right?
It used to be so easy to do this? Do you recognize the differences I’m asking about?
I’ll try adding your html code in the media editor to the image and see what happens.
