In reply to: [Open Table Widget] Starting it off rightHey Devin,
Glad to see this plugin! I’m working with a hyperlocal for my area and they’re wondering if there’s a way to use your plugin to display all of the nearby restaurants who are on OpenTable…or if this is for listing only one establishment.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Short Code?Considering shortcodes are one of the best features of WordPress and very widely used throughout the entire community, one has to wonder why your team has “never felt it totally warranted.”
I’d agree with Brad – as a developer with the ability to use templates, I’d still much rather use short codes than spend 20 minutes digging through your functions list trying to figure out how to do simple things.
We’re using Genesis. I don’t know if it makes any changes to the way searches are performed.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooThemes Updater plugin link not workingAnother issue: what exactly is this plugin updater supposed to do? I managed to finally find it and get it installed, but it doesn’t seem to actually be aware of updates. Case in point: I’m using WooCommerce Cart Notices on this site, and I bought it from WooThemes. I have v1.0.1 loaded. As I’m going through the process of updating to WooCommerce 2, I’m checking for compatibility issues. Turns out there’s v1.0.6 of Cart Notices with WC 2.0 support, but this plugin updater thing has no idea. What’s use is it?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooThemes Updater plugin link not working“Woo’s lack of a forum and their new pricing is really reducing my former good experience with them.”
The forum issue is huge. Relying on the terrible, terrible forum system here on www.remarpro.com is unacceptable. It’s horrendously bad. And obvious things like fixing this WooThemes Plugin Updater issue or at least making it easy to find the damn thing on their site would be nice. I shouldn’t have to spend twenty minutes searching around for it, especially when the broken link is their fault in the first place.
I wouldn’t mind the pricing so much if their support hadn’t gone in the crapper.
For what it’s worth, switching this setting to YES fixed the problem for me as well. From what you said, Marcus, that’s the opposite of what you expected. Something strange going on here?
Cool! I’ll go check it out.
Great! That’s good to hear. I wasn’t looking forward to doing that little fix over and over on client sites.
Same issue here, same versions of WP and USC.
I’m seeing the same problem. No answer from Travis, huh?
Sure. I’ll ask if they can provide further details.

In reply to: [Omni Secure Files] [Plugin: Omni Secure Files] Is there a way to view files?Ah, I should have linked you to the developer’s page. One of the features listed is “Member only downloads, can also have a minimum user level using custom fields.” I’ve used that feature, and it works fine.
Right now I’m looking at another plugin, WordPress Download Manager. It seems to have a lot more features built into it than Download Monitor or Omni Secure Files do.

In reply to: [Omni Secure Files] [Plugin: Omni Secure Files] Is there a way to view files?I have an unqualified answer that might help.
I’ve been using Download Monitor to do exactly what you’re looking for. It’s quite a bit more robust than this plugin, and it includes the ability to flag any file as member-only.
@robolist – I haven’t seen that issue. I’d look for a plugin conflict as well.
