In reply to: [Next Active Directory Integration] Log failed login attemptsHello teejeer,
you can find the failed login attempts inside the “debug.log” file. You can find it at
“../next-active-directory-integration/logs/”. You have to activate Logging in configurations first. For further information the “Logging” configuration tab, please take a look at our documentation. https://active-directory-wp.com/docs/Configuration/Logger.htmlA example for a failed logging attempt from the logfile

medan123Hello usethe23,
you have to check the checkbox “View in User Profile” for the specific attribute at the “Attributes” configuration page. For further information about the “Attributes” configuration page, please take a look at our documentation. https://active-directory-wp.com/docs/Configuration/Attributes.htmlgreetings
medan123Hello sjlevy,
we currently do not offer the feature to exclude Non-AD accounts from logging into your WordPress environment. The “Fallback to local password” option allows your AD users to authenticate against the local WordPress authentication if for example the connection to your AD could not be established. For further information about custom development and support please take a look at our NADI service site: https://active-directory-wp.com/service-for-active-directory-and-wordpress/

medan123Hello pwssupport,
The roles were removed because we added a new option “Clean existing roles” to NADI with the release of NADI 2.0.13. You have to disabled this option to make sure NADI does not remove roles not explicitly defined in the “Role equivalent groups” option. We will set this option to default false with the release of NADI 2.0.14 because it seems to cause some problems. You can fix this problem by mapping the security groups of your users to “Subscriber” in the role equivalent groups option and starting a “Sync to WordPress” or activating “automatic user update”.greetings

In reply to: [Next Active Directory Integration] Can’t disable “Clean existing Roles”Hey dpope0824,
thanks to your reply I found the problem. You were right that the problem has nothing to do with the cache as we assumed earlier. The problem is our way of storing boolean values (true / false) in combination with the WordPress methode “update_blog_option”. We will fix this problem as soon as possible. Until then you can temporary fix this bug by pressing “Save” on your configuration page once with “Clean existing roles” checked. After that it should be possible to disable the option as intended.Thank you again

medan123Hello jjgleim,
does that error occur since you upgraded NADI from 2.0.12 > 2.0.13 ?greetings

In reply to: [Next Active Directory Integration] Can’t disable “Clean existing Roles”Hello twesty,
we tested it on different machines and it looks like a caching problem to us. Can you please try to load the page without cache and tell me if it works ?Thank you

In reply to: [Next Active Directory Integration] Can’t disable “Clean existing Roles”Hey twesty,
Thank you for reporting this problem to us. I was able to reproduce the problem in a WordPress Single Site environment. I will now start debugging the problem and speak with my team whether we rollback 2.0.13 or push a hotfix asap.greetings

“Clean existing Roles” is a new option we added to provide more security. Everytime you synchronize a user from the Active Directory to WordPress NADI will check if the security groups are mapped to any WordPress roles. With “Clean existing Roles” enabled NADI will automatically remove all current roles of the user and only apply roles mapped via “Role equivalent groups”. If you wish to locally assign roles to users you have to disabled the “Clean existing roles” option. We added this feature so admins can make sure that users who are removed from lets say for example the Active Directory “WP-Admin” security group (which is mapped to the WordPress role Administrator), also lose their permission inside the WordPress environment on the next Sync to WordPress.
Greetings
