In reply to: [Simple Twitter Tweets] Incorrect timestampMine is still doing this. melbenson.com and look at my footer. It is indeed going backwards! My server support has made sure my server stuff has the right CST timezone.
My latest tweets, sent minutes ago says 6 hours! After that it says 2, 3, 4 days — which might be correct. But my tweets that I do recently are NOT correct.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Tweets] Can't hide @ replies…I don’t want MY “@another-username hello this is my tweet” to show. That’s what I consider my @ replies. When other people @reply me..it’d be called a mention. Right?
I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it then twitter wouldn’t let me make another app..so I’ll try to do it again so I can show you.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Tweets] Incorrect timestampIt’s actually showing the time as backwards. So the latest tweets are saying more hours ago than the older ones! Again, bottom of https://melbenson.com
What else can I have my server support try? Is anyone else seeing this?

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Tweets] Incorrect timestampI’m having the same issue. I contacted my server support and they changed the timezone stuff. See below their response
========
In WHM Home ? Server Configuration ?Server Time, I set the timezone to Central via the dropdown box (it was Eastern). In WHM Home ? Service Configuration ? PHP Configuration Editor, I entered “America/Chicago” into the Date and Time field.
And in /home[…].htaccess I appended the following line:
—
SetEnv TZ America/Chicago
—Apache now knows it’s Central time:
—
root@host [/home/….]# service httpd status
Apache Server Status for localhost
Current Time: Tuesday, 17-Feb-2015 17:25:02 CST
Restart Time: Tuesday, 17-Feb-2015 17:20:28 CST
Server uptime: 4 minutes 34 seconds
========I made sure my blog and twitter are set to central time as well. The time is still wrong. I did new tweets and same thing ??
Any other advice?

In reply to: How to prevent authors from edit/delete others commentsOur authors can edit comments on posts they publish.
It seems like the “edit publishedpost” and editing comments are packaged together.

In reply to: How to prevent authors from edit/delete others commentsI installed this plugin but was not able to allow authors (or create a new role) to allow publishing of a post, editing of published posts and NOT able to edit comments on that post.

In reply to: Prevent Non-Admin Role From Editing/Deleting Commentsi am looking for this exact same plugin/hack.
The closest I got was: https://www.laboratoriocaffeina.it/development/2007/07/20/restrict-authors-access-to-edit-comments-the-plugin.html
However, it still gave the user the link – but it just went to a restricted page. Plus, this overrides the actual “author” role, which I want to keep. I just want to either add a new role with this tweek or allow the admin of the blog to restrict that user’s permission.
I’m using wpmu and basically the students have blogs and they are an “author” but when a teacher comments on their post the student can edit her comment – which is exactly what I don’t want.
I think the problem is separating “can edit published posts” and “editing comments” because when I turn the “can edit published posts” OFF (with capability manager plugin) it does not allow editing of comments. I do want them to edit their published posts… yet not edit comments…
There has to be a plugin, I’m continuing to search.

In reply to: Capability Manager – version, specific permissionSo I installed this plugin and it works. However, the specific permission “edit comments” is not available. I want authors (or a role) to be able to publish and edit those posts but NOT edit the comments on their posts.
I found a plugin to remove that option as an authour: https://www.laboratoriocaffeina.it/development/2007/07/20/restrict-authors-access-to-edit-comments-the-plugin.html
But it’s not the best solution and I still want an author role.
Is there anything out there that can separate the the capability for editing post and comments (on their post)?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Embed Iframe] problem when switching to PHP5I had the same problem as djpeanut, I could not change the size. I replaced the lien of code with the one he gave. It works!
When will the updated version of this plugin be released? Thank you!
