Hello…
This is a production site, so I need to be careful. I also would like to understand the problem more clearly.
1) Can you please explain in what way the Uploads folder is ‘incomplete’?
2) I still do not understand the meaning of the PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT error. Can you please clarify what this error means?
2) I have a manual backup that I made just before the problem that required the restore from the WPVivid backup. Can I restore this to fix the problem with the Uploads folder?
Thanks…

Done!
Thank you, sir, for the quick response. As may be obvious, I have had no experience with AIOSEO up to now.

Thanks, @corylamleorg. That did the trick. I’ve no idea how the setting got changed on the production site, but a full archive of the development site has just completed successfully.

In reply to: [Integrity Checker] File Monitor scan not completingHey folks…
Is this plugin still supported?
Thanks…

The .htaccess file was in place, but I had not refreshed the permalinks.
Once I did so, I entered the new string in the Hide Login Page panel and saved options. I logged out of the admin dashboard, and then the new login URL worked.
I assume that this option reads the .htaccess file as part of changing the login URL.
Thanks for the assist!

David:
UpdraftPlus completed another backup (triggered by the system cron job) last Sunday morning. Overall it seemed to go well.
However…
The log file does show one error while uploading one of the backup files:
16663.798 (8) ERROR: Google Drive upload error (Google_Service_Exception): Error calling PUT https://www.googleapis.com/upload/drive/v2/files?uploadType=resumable&upload_id=AEnB2Ups9g4IMnr6Mihx9Y7AQWourvMpSGV66z2jLfwMHe5XWMDwQeuYz_a9T7uzQr-e86llEF4CBhBLMvAigv3fex9zGXQdFA: (503) (line: 110, file: /home/enjoypro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Google/Http/REST.php)

An interesting development is that Google Drive lists duplicate files for uploads9 through uploads11.

There are still nine backups listed in the UpdraftPlus dashboard, one more than the retention limit of 8.

So, questions:
1) Do we now have any idea why the retention limit is not being met?
2) Should I just manually delete the oldest backup (using the UpdraftPlus dashboard), and wait to see if there are just 8 backups after the next scheduled backup completes?
3) Should I be concerned about the duplicate uploads from last Sunday? Should I worry that one or both of each duplicate pair might be corrupt?
Thanks again…

David:
Thanks for looking into this. I waited until this morning’s scheduled backup completed. If I read the log correctly, the sequence of events today was:
1) The backup zips were created.
2) The first few uploads to Google Drive were successful.
3) Then, a number of upload attempts failed.
4) The backup program proceeded to delete older backup sets.
5) A second attempt was made to upload the files that failed earlier; this attempt was successful. There are now 9 backup sets listed. This is just one more than the retention limit of 8. So this is an improvement, at least.
Can we tell why the retention limit isn’t being met? And can we tell why the uploads to Google Drive failed the first time?

Follow-up: I scheduled another one-off backup through the server cron daemon today. It completed successfully, and all files were uploaded to Google Drive.
I would still like some information on why the earlier backup did not successfully upload all files, since if it happened once, it could happen again.
The backup retention limit is still not being obeyed. I especially need to know how to fix this.
Thanks…

Thanks for the info. Subsequent tests have gone well… but I had issues with a backup this morning that I will ask about in another thread.

Thank you for the very thorough (and quick!) response. Before I begin the Jetpack re-install and re-connection, is it possible for you to confirm that there is an extant email address list for lindaamarshall.com?
Thanks…
JGB
Looks like this may have been a combination of the odd separator that got injected into the form code, and the spam filter in one of the test recipient accounts.
Thanks for the help!
JGB
The Jetpack form email is originating from our website: cslgc.org.
And is %26#x002c; valid notation? I don’t think so.
Well, that’s what I wondered. I entered the addresses as comma-separated, but they are displayed in the shortcode with that gibberish separator.
I will edit the shortcode manually and try again.

In reply to: Okay to update 3.8.1 directly to 4.1.1?Oh, that’s much better than I thought it would be. I was thinking that the pathway would have to be
3.81 -> 3.9 -> 4.0 -> 4.1 -> 4.11
I like two steps a lot better than four steps. Absolutely the site and database gets backed up first — I’ve worked as a sysadmin in the past, and I learned a healthy paranoia.

In reply to: Okay to update 3.8.1 directly to 4.1.1?Okay … in that article, does the term ‘major release’ refer to a version number with only one decimal version digit?
In other words, am I correct to regard 3.9 as a major version, but not 3.9.1?
Thanks…
