You are fantastic for figuring this out. Yes, this may have appeared after a recent WP update. But nothing showed until we saved the Author bio. For our purposes, I would like to try as the Author name in Chinese would be 3 characters. Just a heads up, most Chinese names are 3 characters if that helps.

Let me know what I can do to patch this up. Or just wait till the next update.

Wow, you are fantastic Brandon. I was about to download an older backup and unzip it to see if I can dig up the versions. Will check here for any updates. Appreciate it!

No need to apologize Brandon. Thank you in advance.

I should clarify, the old Edit Author Slug was set up and working well and this was a few versions back. Sorry, I don’t have access to WP backups so cannot check. But more importantly, what caused this breakdown was also happening in the old version. We edited an Author’s Bio, then click Save and the Slug caused the 404. It was then that we updated WP and Edit Author Slug to their latest versions thinking this may resolve the problem.

    Hope that helps.

Hoping this update can help someone as I see a few others also having email notification issues.

I tested another site also running Ninja Form and the emails are going out fine. So leads me to believe the web host may have changed something that made it kill the Ninja Form emails. Nothing I tried could get it to work. Finally had to use another Contact Form on this particular site.

    Hope that helps.

Sorry, cannot give you access to site at the moment. It’s odd, no one else have reported this as far I can gell. It may be a conflict with another plugin perhaps or a weird config with the server. Server is running memcache + W3 Total, not sure if that may be a culprit.

Even with debug mode on, WordPress 4.2.2 loaded a white page. Source code shows nothing, not even Head tag. Renamed Simple History plugin folder and site comes back to life.

I don’t have logs but its a LAMP server running PHP Version 5.3.29. Perhaps PHP is too old?

I got teh fields part and the Preview Query is working. But after I add a Category inside “Overrides” and then click Save, Category: turns into :NONE. Are you seeing this too?

Alright, cleared cache, updated to the latest Version 1.5.33.

Tried to filter via Category and a Tag and both showed the same problem.

    Post Titlepost_title
    Featured Imagefeatured_image, 300-200
    Post Datepost_date
    Post Authorpost_author, name

    1. Post date = -0001
    2. Only 1 post shows (with pagination enabled)
    3. No featured Image
    4. Topics (categories is not listed, just the word Topics)
    5. No Tag list under each post item
    6. No Author Name

Tried a variety of options with Add Field but nothing I could do made things display properly. What am I missing?

Wow, fantastic. Why don’t I wait till you roll it out normally. This is fantastic. Doing a site re-launch and this will work well! I cannot wait. Thank you!

Hey Jonathan, thank you so much for your time in the reply and for keeping this function alive. I hope my feedback will give you inspiration and energy to be able to solve the technical issues that come with this feature.

As someone coming from Drupal, Views was so important to style (easily without much css) the look and feel of Category pages. WordPress just makes it so difficult to do this. Having tasted what your plugin can do with Widgets (still figuring out the CSS to style it), I think once you sort out the WP issues with Overiding a category, I will be the first in line to test and run your Overide function. It was a powerful feature on Drupal and I sincerely, and eagerly, await your roll out. So exciting!

Cleared cache and the blank issue was still happening. Then realized I was testing inside the Overide section. Cleared cache again, when to Widget and things are working as they should. Again as I posted earlier in the year, your widget is very powerful. Nice. I just have to learn how to style it to match the CSS of the widgets from the rest of the site.

Tried creating an Overide (for categories) and the output is sometimes missing items that have been selected. I know Overide is in beta but would love to be able launch this function on our site. It is so powerful! Hoping you will have time to roll this function out soon. Thanks.

I just updated too hoping to test out new features. There is a pop up, but clicking Update does nothing and the itemized screen is not updated with items selected.

    Hey Jonathan,

Hope all is well. I am anxious to roll out your plugin to display Category pages. I noticed there have been updates. Is this slated for anytime soon. Again, let me know if you need a beta tester.

Ok issue has been resolved. For whatever reason, maybe after an update to the plugin or WP core,
The main list was there in the drop down inside the widget… except it displayed as a blank item. Deleted the form and re-created it and it showed up again.

    It’s all good now.

Thanks for the heads up. It’s odd. When I am on the Manage List Forms page, I see a drop down Menu for the “other” lists but not the Main list that is shown below. If the main list is not within the drop down beside “Create a Form For This List”, how do I crate the form for the Yikes widget to recognize?
