I uninstalled & then reinstalled this plugin. Still, when activated, it blocks my admin page. All I get is a webserver 500 error. When I rename the directory for the plugin, I can access my admin page. Is there any way to correct this as I really do like your plugin and would like to keep using it.

I would like to find the solution to this also. I performed the upgrade, downloaded the htaccess backup and now my backend is unaccessable. I ended up renaming the wordfence plugin directory and now I can access my backend. What do we need to go do correct this issue. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Ok, after several hours of pulling my hair out and searching the web, I finally found instructions on how to modify the login page and it gave me the reference of

https://example.com/wp-login.php

I was able to go there, enter my user name and password and then when I went to my /wp-admin, it populated so that I could access my admin area and restore my login widget to the footer.

Sometimes the school of hard knocks is the greatest teacher… ??

I don’t have an issue with a user name or password, those I have. I can’t get to a log in panel to be able to enter them. Does anybody know what the address to be able to get to the login panel?
