In reply to: Issues with Copy/Paste from Apple PagesThanks Mike. I spent an hour or so poking around in various places trying to find where TinyMCE is coming from. I thought I’d be all useful and stuff and post up a fix. But I got bored looking. (Hey, it’s the holidays!)
And yeah, I get a lot of Word docs sent to me to post in WP for clients. Copy/Paste function is a lot better in more recent versions. At least now I don’t feel obligated to copy/paste into DW anymore. I can just copy/paste right into the page/page and then clean it up there.
I’ll poke around with the link above. Thanks

In reply to: Issues with Copy/Paste from Apple PagesThat’s kind of a PC answer @james. Don’t you think that whatever is translating Word/Pages gobbledygook into
[b]
should be translating it into[strong]
? Wouldn’t that be the correct markup?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My WordPress Site has gone Completely WhiteAlso look for the .download file in your FTP. If that’s there… delete it.

In reply to: Removing posts which dont get any traffic for SEOWell, a couple options IMO, both manual.
1. You could just go in and manually delete (or mark as draft) each of the articles you’d like to take off the site. It’d be tedious, but I don’t know how else you’d really know what you want to keep.
2. Rather than getting rid of them you could just “No Follow” them so they aren’t indexed but are still on the site, available via onsite search. Highly recommend Yoast’s WordPress SEO for that. Again, manual process.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: File media hostingI would suggest doing YouTube or Vimeo simply for the ease of doing so. But if you absolutely just want to host them and use a plugin to restrict access to a certain instance, I’d recommend AWS (S3 or similar product)

In reply to: Providing managed wp hosing for commercial purpose. What Jan said. That said, I think there is plenty of room in this vertical for new players. Just do yourself a favor and use Cpanel instead of trying to create your own.
I’m on WPE for a couple of my sites… it’s great, but too expensive for what you get.
I’m not really a fan of it.. I kind of find it distracting, personally. I write nearly every day and I find the best thing I can do to be free from distraction is simply to concentrate and do my best to ignore the distractions happening off my screen. (Kids asking for stuff, texts, etc.)

In reply to: Redirect loop after upgrade to 3.4.1This seems to be a .htaccess issue. My site is all on https and once I changed it to http in wp-admin everything was cool.
Annoying!

For now… just killed all of the sites by replacing the index file.
