I don’t have the login forms add-on – I will play with the CSS a bit more – maybe after a good night’s sleep it will all be clear ?? – it’s funny – with 4.2.3 the menu works but my theme based login disappears and with 4.1.2 the theme based login works but the menu is just bullets…

Thank you for your advice – I uninstalled everything, deleted all the pages, reinstalled with version 4.2.3 and still have the issue. To be a little clearer – I think perhaps there is a hook or filter somewhere in the CUAR files that is requiring me to go to customer area before it is possible to log in to the site – this is not the case with the 4.1+ versions of the plugin – only since 4.2. I disabled all other plugins so there is no other plugin interfering and I have done nothing new to my theme.

I have reinstalled 4.1.2 which allows my users to login without going through the customer area but I cannot get my horizontal menu back in the customer area – I must be missing something really elemental — I imagine it is a simple CSS issue for the nav menu but am not sure how to change that either. I am using the default v-4 template.

Any snippet or idea would be appreciated.

OK, my bad – I generally set my images for a post at 300px – the CSS settings for mesocolumn are 300px for the featured image (Thumb) in archives – so all I did was create a child theme and change the css to reflect a smaller image. The theme definitely was not the problem.

By the way, while the larger image in archives was not right for one site, it is perfect for another site I am working on – I like your theme so much, I have decided to use it twice :).

I am not sure why using [raw] was necessary and after receiving your response, disabled other plugins and retested. Upon disabling Shortcodes Ultimate, [raw] was no longer necessary to have the sliders working.

I have not delved into why there is a conflict, but when I enable Shortcodes Ultimate again, the sliders don’t function without the [raw] code. It could be a bug in the latest version of that particular plugin as it has always worked before.

You are great at responding, by the way, and the work you have put into the theme is evident! Thanks much,

I did it both ways, with one image in the post content and one in featured images. Either way, the category and archives pages are showing the image in it’s original size. I think this may be a WordPress issue because trying it in the basic templates did not work either. Disabled all plugins but the problem persists.

Thanks for your quick response – I do think it is an issue with my WP 3.71 – I have never had the problem before.

I have just created a landing page for one of my sites using this theme – the biggest issue was creation of shortcodes for lists, boxes, etc. I downloaded a couple shortcode plugins with dividers, lists, and various graphics than modified those to meet my needs. It was simple and straightforward – took me less than 4 hours to get the page working. I don’t know if this helps but but the advantage of using shortcode plugins is that they work with any theme.
