Right, but where would I work on this in the Boardwalk theme? How do I feed the information to Boardwalk’s functions?

All I can find about this is it might be a virus but the thing is this is uniquely appearing on ym website and nowhere else. No other website has this problem for me and the ads appear regardless on PC or browser I use.

To make matters even more pressing, you can only see the last 100 posts, which means that if I want to feature an older post, I’m SOL too.

Sometimes, it’s nice to showcase an older post if it makes sense in a world context. Not like we can manually add a URL to the image either (which would be a nice feature to add too!).

It would be fun to add an image to a slider that links OUTSIDE the blog sometimes.

Yes but even with 5, the act of dragging slides to the top is unnecessary when the intent it to always have the newest slide appear first, not last.

It’s about being user friendly. If the point is for newest slides to show first, then the slide queue should insert slides with this in mind.

Likewise, if you want to maintain a constant number of slides like 5. Then there ought to be an option that inserts the newest slide in the top slot and removes the bottom slide from the queue.

Your first suggestion was what I was looking for. Makes me wondering why WordPress doesn’t let us see this in our dashboards before updating?

Your second suggestion is useless unless you update first, which defeats the point of a changelog for most users.

Right, but that’s not practical and won’t be updated. Where is the fixed URL where I can find the changelog IE like the site is supposed to do or on the wordpress download page?

lol, that was it! Completely forgot that the sidebars had to be set. I took for granted that they were always enabled.

I have the left and right sidebars activated. Both have a calendar. Obviously, you only see the left sidebar with the calendar. Nothing in the right sidebar is showing.

I can confirm this happens. I’m running a test site with customizr (latest release) and the right sidebar doesn’t display at all. The HTML doesn’t even show up in the source code.

Left sidebar and footer have no issues.

Seriously, support by Yoast is TERRIBLE. There is no motivation for me to pay them for anything if they can’t even acknowledge issues.

I have the same problem. Where is the fix, it has been over a YEAR that this hasn’t been resolved without hacks.

acub, you understood correctly because I didn’t originally think it was possible to use the featured image in place of the slide.

Once I knew the limitations of the slider, it was simply easier from an end user’s point of view to upload a featured image as use that in place of the slider. Of course, this means you can’t actually have slides but it keeps the site consistently in a far simpler manner.

That said, building both features into the theme as options would greatly expand its customizability. I’m sure I’m not the only person who wants to use the same exact image in multiple sliders and I’m sure others would also love to be able to use the featured image at the top of their posts and pages in the same format as their sliders.
