In reply to: Bad Behavior 403 renders WordPress uselessHi please ignore my last post.
I decided to delete the plugin from my plugins folder and upload the latest version again.
After doing this i was able to login to my blog. I assume this was the problem and has now fixed it
many thanks

Why has my post be edited again by moderator – I gave lilypetals a link to where i host my blog so he/she could check out the speed and see what service streamline.net offer and once again its been removed !
My post now looks silly because I say see a link and no link now exists !

In reply to: Upgrade 1.5.1 to 2.3.1 possible?Ive been trying to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 here at chris mcdermott and have spent all night tearing my hair out. I did however make a backup so I have done a full restore and will attempt an upgrade at a laterdate !
Its not for the faint hearted in my humble opinion

In reply to: Best Hosting for WordPress?Hi Lilypetals
Might as well throw my two cents in. I struggled with bad hosts for a while then moved to streamline.net and have never looked back. Here’s my blog if you want to check out speed times

In reply to: Can some one help explain widgets/sidebar functionHi
when logged in the backend of your blog as admin if you goto Presentation then widgets you should be able to see where your template will allow widgets to be placed.
For example if you look at my blog below you can see that I have a widget for the calender on the left sidebar. In the backend under Presentation/widgets to get this to display on my page I simply dragged the widget from the available widgets box into the sidebar where I wanted to appear. For some reason my template displays sidebar2 on the left hand side and sidebar1 on the right (weird i know but maybe its just my template).
If you cannot see your widget in the available widget list make sure it is activated by going to Plugins and then activating the widget if it is not already activated.

In reply to: How to Import my WP blog posts to another WP blog?Hi all
I have my blog up and running but would like to set it up with a different template. I figured the best way is to setup my new blog on a test domain and then import current posts into the new blog. Once finally setup the way I want it I could back the new blog up and then upload it into my original space overwriting my old blog.
Does this sound like the best way ?
I dont want my current blog to be down while I setup the new one.
Any advice greatly appreciated
Thanks

In reply to: All in One SEOHi
I think an internal 500 error means the page cant be found, which may suggest your permalink structure isnt correct.
You need to change your permalink structure to something like this /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/
Heres a link to how I did it hope it helps
