Not exactly what I’m looking for as this just I believe sets certain Categories to be edited by certain Roles.

What I have is ten people from ten different cities who will each have their own catgeory (city name) where they can make updates to post but I would like so when they log in the only thing they can add, edit, delet posts from is their category and not any of the other categories.

Online this will be visible for everyone the updates if a viewer comes across the site they can go to each city and view the updates from each one.

I hope that is a little more clear.

I change it to wp_footer and the poll works but like people above now my fotter doesn’t show up. I havent had this issue with any other plugins prior to this the footer is more important but I also need a poll there must be an easy way around this.

    Thanks Gangleri,

But we are not going to now make the site widget ready, which means basically redoing alot of it to make it support Widgets all I’m hping for is an answer if you can hardcode the WordPress Search/Search Everything plugin into the side bar that is currently on the site.

Thanks for the link it will be useful in the future.

Ok I looked and the theme doesnt support Widgets says no sidebar is defined does this mean I am out of luck with putting the Search bar on the side, he definetly messed it up cause the actual sidebar is the home page content information and the right hand side of everything are all templates and using different templates for each section is it still possible to hard code the WordPress Search into the right hand side without messing up the theme, which would mean I would have to hard code it into each and every template he created since the templates are the right hand side.

Hopefully there is a way to do this ??

Well the Google search is hard-coded into the sidebar I know that as the guy who began working on the theme was not too knowledgable with WordPress.

So if I remove the Google search code from my sidebar install the Search Everything plugin how would I go about placing it in the sidebar?

I would just like to know this before going in and doing all of it just to make sure it does not ruin the site as its already been launched, I just want to make a better search for the site without using a Google one

Well this is a custom theme and originally someone else was working on this so I guess he removed the search option I presume and decided to hard code the Google search bar in so I’m not sure how to implement the WordPress search bar and hardcode it into the specific spot I want it. Could you please let me know how I would go about this?

Also thanks fro helping me and telling me in my previous thread when I was having issues moving the site to the root directory.
