Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Scheduled unpublish timeMaybe others but I need the post pulled completely off the site, but not deleted. Many of the events I cover are annual events so I can change dates, change info as it comes out for the following year, and republish in the proper order.

In reply to: Scheduled unpublish timeNot yet. I keep coming back to see if anyone has mentioned it. Seems like it could be added into WP just like the scheduled publish date though.

In reply to: Login via Facebook ?Ok, it’s fixed, sort of. Something flaked with a java countdown timer I had that I had to remove. Still have no idea why that would have been affected and furthermore not be fixed.

In reply to: Login via Facebook ?It has something to do with the last 3 posts. I deleted them and everything comes up fine. When I try to repost it, it comes up with the error again, “internet explorer cannot open the site”. I have reposted them though so that you may see but if you go to a Page like, https://www.scp88.com/about/ it will come up. You can go to any other post, page, etc as long as you don’t go to a blog page that has the last three posts in i tlike the Jan or Dec archive, any category, or the Home page. All was fine before installing this Facebook App

In reply to: Login via Facebook ?I tried to add this app and now my site can’t be seen with IE, in Firefox it works though. I’ve disabled the app and put everything back the way it was I believe but it still is not working. https://www.scp88.com

In reply to: Admin can’t post under his own nameSomething new to add to the mystery. I logged in yesterday and made a post on this blog and it had my name there to choose from. Today I logged in to make another post and it doesn’t, but if I go look at the one from yesterday I can still go to the drop down and see all 3 of us as options for me to choose. Weird.

In reply to: Admin can’t post under his own nameI don’t think it would require that, I would have thought some WP pro would have mentioned that within the last month. You shouldn’t need 2 logins and it shouldn’t take away abilities of the Admin, that doesn’t make good sense. I’ve also not gone to 2.6 yet, this was happening before it was even out.

In reply to: Admin can’t post under his own nameIt doesn’t matter, I have something in as my nickname as a user, it’s just not an option when writing a post. Only my 2 editors nicknames show up there as choices. There are 3 of us registered on the site, me as admin and 2 editors. I can do whatever I want but when I go to write a post, my only options to choose from as the post author are the other 2 which are editors. I have tried to change my nickname but it make no difference, only 2 choices appear on the post author drop down. However, before I added the other 2 logins I was there as a choice.

In reply to: School HistoryYes, in FF, when you hover the nav bar, everything on the page from the thin black line down shifts by several pixels away from the nav bar.

In reply to: Child post showing up in parent categoryAlso, if I make a page and query posts to that page, will it still use my global settings for how many per page and what happens when it gets more than that setting, does it make a new Page for older?

In reply to: School HistoryAh, I was using FF on a PC at the time but using safari on a mac now and it’s not doing it. In FF when you hover the blue top nav bars, the rest of the site bounces down some, I believe it was creating a space between the bottom of the buttons and that black line so as you moved off and on the buttons, the site below bounced up and down. I don’t have access to my pc right now, maybe someone else with FF can verify the same.

In reply to: Make Category Page the Home PageActually it looks like I can use the same query_posts function to pull only posts from a certain category for the home page with some type of if home statement so the home will only display “News” instead of every category.
Or am I missing something?
