just opened the local site in dreamweaver, and although altering the plugin stylesheet in wordpress didnt change anything, altering it in exactly the same way in dreamweaver worked perfectly!!

I cant post a link as i’m building the site on an xampp installation on my pc

using the standard 4 footer area widgets, with the ‘Notices’ widget in the first footer area, and nothing in the other 3

ok, managed to figure it out – just needed to adjust my column widths to 50% to force the second 2 widgets below the first 2! ??

Its not the code for creating widget areas that is the problem, i can create them, its just that i need to figure out how to force WP to display 2 widget areas with 2 more below them in a ‘table/grid’ layout

i had exactly the same problem last week with a clients site – had to go in via ftp and upload wordpress 3.1.3 manually to overwrite the error EXCEPT FOR wp-content, luckily! as i didnt fancy reinstalling all the plugins and the custom theme again

wish i knew why this was happening, but its only happened on 1 of the 9 updates ive done since 3.1.3 was released.

just had to tweak the margin settings a bit to suit the header/menu depth i have

why do i keep coming up with ideas that are just beyond my ability?! damn frustrating lol

i think we’re on the right track, the content is now going behind the header, but the menu dissapears and the header drops down by the amount in the margin settings

so the footer (3 boxes – book online, 20% off, and contact) were central on your screen and the right-hand border on the contact box was intact?

thats weird – but great if so, i tried changing a couple of bits oon the css yesterday, but it didnt seem to alter it
