In reply to: Internal Server ErrorHi!!!
I AM HAPPILY COMING WITH GREAT NEWS AND WISH TO THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR HELP. I DIDN’T EXPECT THAT AND I’AM SO PLEASED AND RELIEVED.
So you all know what happened. I did switch to the Twenty Eleven theme and deactivated All plugings as esmi suggested. Tried my problem, there was none, so it really was a plugin.
I reactivated plugins, and did trial after adding 2-3. Suddenly that message appeared due to plugin “Global translator.” I skipped that one (strange I have it for 2 yrs already, I regret this one because I am originally from Europe and speak several languages, so I have followers from various countries, but…causing problem, rascal, what can I do?)
I reactivated the rest, switched my theme back and all works fine. I still cannot believe it.
The time and anxiety it caused me. But still, I’m happy that all ended up so well and so soon after I posted problem.
Thank you my friends, again and again and if you wish to find tons of interesting info, or have nothing to do… visit my site one day ??

In reply to: Internal Server ErrorThank you,
I could see what “esmi” suggest and I do thank you, Theme Diva.
But I am scared to death to do this, especially second part.
I am pretty good writer, but technical things are my nightmare.
Do you think if I try first suggestion with plugins removals and re-install, which I know well “how to” would be worth trial first?
Please let me know! Thanks all for care and suggestions!

In reply to: Internal Server ErrorHello kmassinger!
I can log in OK, with my user and pass, either via browser (typing domain) or directly into admin dashboard, which is my usual way. I could get to my site, no problem there.
No matter what I click on from the WP menu, dashboard, all shows up well.
ONLY commands, when I do something and want to update, delete (trash) save draft, etc… every time this 500 error shows up.
I have Mac, not Windows.
Only one other thing I noticed, when I click on posts, usually it brought me to my published posts. But now it always get me to my “draft” posts.
Otherwise as I said: Simply cannot execute any command when work in admin area. All trigger that message.
Thanks,

In reply to: Internal Server ErrorReplacing WP back-up?
Well, that would be a task, I have all on some main BU server, Doing it daily..is it possible that hosting server itself can put me back on some previous date?
Before that happened? I’m not techie, so I’m lost here..
I do not have WP back-up that I would do myself. All I came across advised me that it is tricky matter, so I have Mozy. But I am not sure how that works, only that it is backing my computer files daily and I pay them fee. Still I thought WP is on hosting server.
Why then hosting server (I spoke with yesterday)didn’t offer such an option? Little confused here..
Thanks,

In reply to: Internal Server ErrorHi TheDoc,
When I called my server the rep was very accommodating and helpful and spent w/me quite a time. He also contacted “higher” support and they suggested exactly that, so I did it under his lead (via FTP) exactly what you suggested. Unfortunately that did not fix my problem and than he said that it is not server’s problem, but WP problem.
So, I am stuck for now and desperate, because I have to post my content regularly and for now I keep it in “MS Word”
But if you come up with some other solution trial, kindly let me know, I’ll give a shot to anything..
Thank you so much!Best regards,

In reply to: Internal Server ErrorHi Anthony,
Yes I do use plugins, but last plugin I installed was several months ago and all worked very well. This problem happen suddenly just few days ago.
So I don’t think plugin could be a culprit?Thank you sincerely for responding!
Best regards,

In reply to: Remove Infolinks ads from WordPressThank you for note. Still in my case it was just coincidence. I really spent lot of time and heavy stress was my companion to solve this. Out of desperation I wrote request for help.
Then being still at the same time involved in various searches “how to” I discovered this solution and I simply had to share my result with others who possibly were in a same maze.My note “replying to myself” was put just out of simple amazement that it was myself actually who could respond positively to this problem.

In reply to: Remove Infolinks ads from WordPressWell, isn’t that something, replying to myself. LOL!
But I hope some desperate souls as I was could use what I discovered and FINALLY got rid of INFOLINKS!1. deactivate and remove plugin
2. /wp-content/themes/your-active-theme/footer.phpIn my theme I clicked on “editor” in WP menu, then footer, then found it on that page totally at the bottom, just above /body/
so I removed this whole obnoxious thing, it looked like this:<script name="124456d8-8096-11df-ab50-1231390698b3" src="https://izearanks.com/itk/show/mayakas-com" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var infolink_pid = 150615; var infolink_wsid = 0; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://resources.infolinks.com/js/infolinks_main.js"></script>
Voila! What a relief!

In reply to: Remove Infolinks ads from WordPressI am desperate to remove infolinks from my site. I deactivated that “cursed” plugin, deleted it, removed it from FTP, still works on my site like nothing happened. I’ve never seen anything so forcefully imposing.
Now I cannot believe that even here there is no answer.
What should I do? There must be help.I found some suggestion to download “ad remover” from Firefox, but I couldn’t install it, because source wasn’t supposedly verified, so I couldn’t do that either.
I think people who create that idiocy, should be responsible enough to provide choice.
It is very obnoxious thing, I regret the moment when I downloaded it. It was on suggestion of someone I trusted ??
I wonder if someone helps here.
Cannot believe that nobody has an idea how to.Thanks,
Regards,

In reply to: Cannot update my posts…Thank you very much for you suggestion. Yes it was plugin. It even didn’t take to deactivate all.
They advocate tons of plugins for everything, but I know some could make pretty mess in things.
Again, thank for taking time to respond and help!
Wishing you great success!!!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: posts do not show on siteYeah, with your help:)
Thanks again!
Listen, please do not think I’m pest with another question. I’m OK, don’t worry, just asking…and shall not be “stalking:)”
All really works just fine, besides this and it is very obnoxious and time consuming and it started just some days ago. I write a lot and add things, so it’s a hassle:
It is my “UPDATE”
When I click on update it takes really FOREVER till its done and instead of showing “post undated” 3 things could happen:1.either blank screen shows and in a browser just behind mydomain/admin/php.post or something like that and it causes to mess my text in one “bunch.” its simply disturbed from its order, as I had it a with spacing etc. So I must checking it that way and go to my site directly from admin. and back and then I see it usually stayed OK, it could be or not updated…
2. During updating process some dialog box occasionally shows up from Firefox:
Opening post php.
which is plain text document from https://mydomain
Choices are: text edit
save
Options: save and cancel. Well, I really do not need neither, (neiher that stupid box to see) my correction was made, I just need update… so I click cancel a again wait forever till update finishes, which might be really NEVER. Sometimes is does and then right page shows saying “post updated, view post. Sometimes I must CX that box several time and click on update again, and again waiting if it updates.3. Sometimes after that long wait update finishes, but there is message about update being done missing. But when I check update, it is done. At least that is welcomed.
Well there is still number 4. Once in a while all is done well as before, nicely with all as it should be. ??? which seems strange… if it is capable to do it right, why not always?
So this is my “headache” and if you wish to think about it, now it is yours too… (just kidding)
Thanks “alism” really, but if its some problem you never heard of, its OK…
Best regards,

In reply to: posts do not show on siteThanks and Glory to alism!!!
I still cannot believe it, but this is all it took, per your advice:(BTW I thought I would have to call server again, but…)I went to : admin>settings>permalinks and….
just put “dot” from option “day date, month… etc.
into one below and saved the change.
there was just a day skipped, which is OK with me, I don’t need day posted, really, in permalink. Now without expecting anything I just simply gave a try… and
Voila! all works fine.
As I always say: “Knowledge is power!”
Thank you so very much!!!Best regards,
