In wp-admin/includes/file.php

replacing line 149:

if ( empty( $filename ) || ‘.’ == $filename ) {

with

if ( empty( $filename ) || ‘.’ == $filename || ‘/’ === $filename ) {

I’m sorry to have guide you the wrong way, I tried to look at the icons on other computers and it works.

it seems like it’s the computers at our office that don’t recognizes icons anymore !?!

Feel free to give me cues If you have any ideas on why with same web browsers ( chrome, explorer, safari and firefox) different computers/OS react differently.
