In reply to: MaxButtons in the sidebar?coachjoe – I see what you mean now, but strange as I’ve never seen that. It looks like the widget is stripping out the <script> tag being used by the button, therefore showing the code as plain text.
How did you add the buttons to the widget?

In reply to: MaxButtons in the sidebar?coachjoe – Thanks for the compliment ??
As for you question, what do you mean by hiding the style/formatting? Are you seeing this as output on your page? Can you post the URL where your buttons are used? That would help to see what’s going on?
If this is for the Pro version, please post this to the official Support Forums instead, thanks.
Just FYI, starting with version 1.7.0, support for IE was vastly improved. For anyone having issues with buttons in IE, be sure you are using at least v1.7.0.
No problem, thanks for using the plugin.
And don’t worry, when you deactivate and then re-activate, you won’t lose any of your buttons. They will still be there.
Sounds like you recently updated the plugin. The latest version included a database table update, so all you have to do is deactivate and then re-activate the plugin. That should fix things right up.
You’d have to edit your theme template files to make this happen, and it all depends on how your theme implemented the menu functionality. In short, you’d have to rip it all out and replace it with a button shortcode for each of the menu items. Definitely would require some coding.
Not to upsell you, but the Pro version has specific settings for button width and height. You can check it out at https://maxbuttons.com.
As for your suggestions, we’ll take them into consideration, thanks.
The issue is that your theme has a CSS style for hovering a link, and it uses !important, so it takes precedence over the button style. The style in question is this:
a:hover, .post-more a:hover, .post-meta a:hover, .post p.tags a:hover { color: #41A818 !important; }
We have a to-do to allow you to use !important for all button styles, and we hope to have it in place in the next release. Until then, you’d have to modify your theme CSS to not use !important.
We just replied over on the Pro forums. This thread should have been marked resolved.
It looks like you are using the Pro version. Can you post your issue on the Pro support forums instead? Thanks.
Part of the upgrade process is to deactivate the plugin and then re-activate it. This ensures the proper database table changes are made and things work properly.
Now marking as resolved.
