Thanks for the reply – it seems to do exactly what I want it to! I set up the twitter plugin and off I went.

I am experimenting really at this stage – so I will certainly bear that advice about annoying people out there in mind!

I went to phpmyadmin local, selected the database then checked all the tables and slected “repair”. When I did this a table came up listing all the tables and next to each table a message saying “The Store engine for the table doesn’t support repair”

Export and live import still doesmn’t work!

Any more ideas greatfully received

Do I run that repair in phpmyadmin or from the back of my local wp?
