In reply to: Beginner Help PleaseScott,
Are you not using wordpress right now? Be sure you know the difference between www.remarpro.com and wordpress.com. If you want to place ads, you’ll need www.remarpro.com so you can host your website yourself. If its just about your own business, wordpress.com should work where they host your site for you. There are hundreds of wordpress tutorials out there, just search youtube for instance heres a step b step tutorial about how to blog with wodpress.com:

In reply to: [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] ERROR: Facebook user not recognized.Hi Otto,
Great plugin but Im a bit confused. I do have “anyone can register” checked in the general WP settings as well as the SFC register and Login plugins enabled. After clicking connect with FB, it took me to the “create account” page for WP. But I thought you said,
“If you have both the Register and Login plugins activated, then it *does* create the user already connected to Facebook. All the user has to do is connect to facebook on the login screen then click the button to create the new WP account. The new account will be connected to FB.”
Meaning new users will automatically have their FB info pulled over and a WP profile created. So where is the One button someone clicks to create a new FB account? Is a WP profile created or does the user need to create a WP profile? For now, I just want users to be able to login using FB credentials but not have to register. But ti’s still putting up the “Create Account” WP page.
I do have the buddypress plugin installed. Is this creating the “Create Account” page?? Any suggestions on what I should do?

In reply to: wp-insert plugin ad manager by smartlogixOK, think I got it working. For some reason the ad widget didnt show up on my wp admin “available widgets” page. Its there now and working. Maybe I hadnt activated it.
Thanks.Ok, I just increased either the memory or the time limit it has to crawl the site and that seemed to do it.

In reply to: Custom Page Titles for Custom TaxonomiesIf you are wanting to customize page titles, the title of the page is usually whatever you put as the title. You can edit the title by clicking the “edit” button just below the title box where it says permalink. Is that what you are wanting to do?

In reply to: Sidebar Moving down past the bottom of the websitePerhaps your Nokia Phone Model table is too wide and ends up pushing your sidebar down? Have your tried making your nokia phone table smaller or maybe breaking it up into a couple pages rather than just one page?

In reply to: Featured Image on designPile themeAre your purple and green guest blogger boxes what you wanted? After you add the feature image, do you save it as “featured image” as opposed to “insert into post”?. Once you save it as featured image, it should appear in the bottom right corner of your post page as a feature image and you should be able to see it there…

In reply to: Home Page ThumbnailsAre you adding the “feature image” in the bottom right of your create a post page? I was adding photos to my site and expected wp to create the thumbnail image on its own. It will reszie it for you and everything if you add it to the “feature image” on the Add a Post page in the bottom right corner.
