In reply to: [Jetpack Social] Using Share Credits When DisabledHey there! I just chatted with our development team about this, it’s most likely a bug. Did you notice if your share count goes back up after a brief amount of time? There’s a chance it’s a temporarily hold type situation.
In any case, it’s been logged with the team to investigate!
Vicki,
I verified with the VaultPress team that VaultPress is activated and working properly. You don’t need to worry about that message you saw. We’ll be looking into that bug!
Vicki,
I’m digging into this for you! Is your website https://vweisfeld.com/?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] image carousel commentHey Ian,
No problem at all!
1) Within Jetpack, make sure you have the “Custom CSS” feature enabled. To do this, go to Jetpack > Settings
2) Once that feature is activated, head on over to Apperance > Edit CSS (in your sidebar)
3) Add the following code to your css:
a.jp-carousel-image-download { display: none; }
Here is a screenshot for reference!
Let me know if I can help you with anything else!
1339, Glad the issue worked itself out!
jarvis1983uk,
Is your issue just that when publicize pushes your post to Google+, is that they’re posted as “private”?
for google business pages, there might be some different steps to ensure they’re posted as “public” than what we’ve outlined at https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/google/
Have you found anything in googles documents regarding privacy / post settings?
Hey Vicki!
Is the VaultPress plugin installed and activated on the site you’re getting this message?
Sometimes, even if you are a VP member, if VaultPress isn’t activated on your site, Jetpack doesn’t know you’re a member.
If VaultPress is installed, activated, and linked to your account, I can have someone take a look for you!
Hey Burt!
That’s very strange. Jetpack’s Publicize is a one time post-to-facebook thing, so when you edit a post, it doesn’t repost to facebook.
I’ve got a few ideas:
1) When you edit a post, make sure the facebook option is unchecked under the individual post publicize settings (check the two screen shot links below!)
https://cloudup.com/cqVBwYqXG36 & https://cloudup.com/cRov9wnQbQF
2) Ensure your blog, or other social media networks aren’t all linked together, and are posting in a chain. For instance: If you have Publicize set to post to facebook AND twitter. But you have twitter set to post to facebook as well, there will be duplicate posts made to facebook. example: your site > facebook. your site > twitter (or another network) > facebook
If neither of those work, can I take a look at your facebook page? Also, what’s your website URL?
hey sonataelise,
Can you provide a link to your site?
My pleasure!
Hello Mischa.P!
Unfortunately this wouldn’t be possible without some serious hacking, to which we don’t recommend.
Each gallery / carousel works independently of each other, and thus can only bring the user back to the first photo in a loop.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with!
Hey Christina!
Is there just one contact form setup through jetpack, on the site?
With each contact form that’s added to a post or page, the receiver of the email can be changed.
If you check out our support page and scroll down to “Handling the form results” you can see the screenshots that show you where the option to change the email recipient is.
To help you further, here’s a screenshot that shows you exactly what to change in the contact form shortcode (if the shortcode is what you see in the page or post!)

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] thumb image resize in photonhey solutionhut!
Can you provide a little more context of the issue, so I can understand a little better. Do you want your thumbnails to be served up with a width of 228px, dynamically? Or just in one particular instance? Where are these thumbnails being displayed – do you have a site link I can check out?
If that’s the case, you can set the size of the thumbnails to be displayed, from right within your WordPress Dashboard
just go to https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-media.php
And you can set the size of the thumbnails there.
Thanks for helping out 1formanet!
Hey Ken!
Do you have a URL so I can check out your site?
