Yes it would! But it’s written in Ruby, which won’t work in a WordPress plugin. Markdown Extra does support some aspects of GFM, like fenced code blocks. The docs spell out what’s available: https://michelf.ca/projects/php-markdown/extra/

I’ll consider it. There’s actually a bunch of nitpicky things that would go into doing that correctly. It might actually be better territory for a separate plugin.

All remote clients should be working properly as of v2.3.

Only Markdown Extra formatting is supported, so that will not happen. You can still use raw HTML and use the appropriate class names for alignment.

Pages should now be working properly with any remote client as of v2.3. I’ve tested specifically with Mars Edit and WP iOS.

MoSI 2.3 was just released and includes Markdown Extra 1.2.6.

Eunice: this is a known WebKit (Chrome or Safari) issue. You can either 1) try Firefox, or 2) install the Options Framework plugin to enable Theme Options and enable the “Disable editor style” option.

Hey Manuel. In short, it wouldn’t work, not in any way that Mark or I would be happy with. The opt-in vs opt-out logic is a lot more complex than it seems like on the surface and assumes that it’s always been that way to work properly.

The old category menus weren’t a great idea for most people, so I removed them. It looks like you’ve already set up a native WordPress menu, which is great, because it gives you complete control. If you want to nest subcategories, just make multi-level menus.
