In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] Has this plugin been tested in WordPress 3.5.1?Thanks for the reminder.
I always develop it against the latest version of WP, I just forget to update the plugin header. I’ll do so in the next release – not worth making everyone update just for this.

In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] feature request – github flavoured markdownYes it would! But it’s written in Ruby, which won’t work in a WordPress plugin. Markdown Extra does support some aspects of GFM, like fenced code blocks. The docs spell out what’s available: https://michelf.ca/projects/php-markdown/extra/

In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] And comments ?I’ll consider it. There’s actually a bunch of nitpicky things that would go into doing that correctly. It might actually be better territory for a separate plugin.
Marking as resolved since this is a feature request, not a bug.

In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] Convert HTML to MarkdownA good idea, but I’m considering just removing HTML -> MD.
Do you use that functionality a lot?
All remote clients should be working properly as of v2.3.
Only Markdown Extra formatting is supported, so that will not happen. You can still use raw HTML and use the appropriate class names for alignment.
This should be resolved with v2.3.

In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] pages, not posts, with MarsEditPages should now be working properly with any remote client as of v2.3. I’ve tested specifically with Mars Edit and WP iOS.
MoSI 2.3 was just released and includes Markdown Extra 1.2.6.

In reply to: [The Erudite] Hanging CapitalEunice: this is a known WebKit (Chrome or Safari) issue. You can either 1) try Firefox, or 2) install the Options Framework plugin to enable Theme Options and enable the “Disable editor style” option.

In reply to: [Markdown on Save Improved] Why not merge with "Markdown on Save"?Hey Manuel. In short, it wouldn’t work, not in any way that Mark or I would be happy with. The opt-in vs opt-out logic is a lot more complex than it seems like on the surface and assumes that it’s always been that way to work properly.

In reply to: [Speaker Deck Embed] [Plugin: Speaker Deck Embed] add https supportThanks @baxang and @simonwheatley. Just pushed 1.1 with the new format.
Also: baxang, sorry about missing this for so long. Apparently I wasn’t subscribed to me own plugin’s topic. :/

In reply to: [The Erudite] [Theme: The Erudite] Categories Not RefreshingThe old category menus weren’t a great idea for most people, so I removed them. It looks like you’ve already set up a native WordPress menu, which is great, because it gives you complete control. If you want to nest subcategories, just make multi-level menus.
