seconded – awful choice. to me, immediately after installing the update, i saw that and thought “oh, that option is broken as it is now greyed out”
obviously, yes, it’s actually BLACKED out…but you get my gist
i then clicked on it and nothing happened, although – after spending all morning troubleshooting it – this is in fact an issue with Safari Version 11.1.2 (11605.3.8.1) as far as I can tell
just spent the whole morning on exactly the same issue. have submitted a ticket.
not working on safari Version 11.1.2 (11605.3.8.1)
oh, and the new “blacked out” debit/ credit card button looks awful. I just immediately thought it was broken when I saw it….
hmm. just tested it and mailchimp DOES actually send out the newsletters, even though it says “Opted-out of “Email” in the subscriber profile/preferences.
not great really.
So it seems that Mailchimp is automatically unchecking the permission to send emails, even if you use double-opt in…and the subscriber has to actively go and switch it on. but it will still send the emails, thereby breaking the permissions
Very strange
No, I wasn’t intending to send out emails, although that could be a secondary option – what I wanted was a way to force ALL users to change their passwords when they try to log in. We used to have a system like this at my old workplace, and you couldn’t bypass it – you HAD to change it. It also wouldn’t allow passwords that had been previously used, or were too similar to your previous ones. Just surprised there isn’t something like this in Wordfence, as they’ve thought of so much other stuff! I’d gladly pay a bit more for it, so as to have peace of mind

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] New MailChimp GDPR Fields Query….just annoying that you’d lose the integration with the checkout page

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] New MailChimp GDPR Fields Query@misstt – brilliant, thanks for that. This is kind of where I’m at, after spending many hours researching options. I may just add the tickbox (consent to mailchimp data etc..) to my “sign up to newsletter” boxes for now, as I’ve figured that out…and then see if Mailchimp or this plugin manage to come up with a more integrated solution over the next month or two. If not, I’ll switch to a linked, hosted form
I’d rather they didn’t have any choice if I’d had a data breach which involved passwords (which I pray will never happen obviously..)

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] New MailChimp GDPR Fields Query@misstt – so would that mean simply setting up your Mailchimp GDPR Forms (hosted ones) and then putting some kind of text/image (“sign up for our newsletter!”) on my website, with an embedded link directly to the form URL that Mailchimp provides?
That would work fine for my homepage and account pages…but not so great for the Checkout

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Mailchimp GDPR on pageyou’re not the only one, I can assure you ??

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] New MailChimp GDPR Fields QueryI’ve figured out how to add the tickbox, text and links to mailchimp terms/ privacy policy just fine….but there is no way to save a record of what the subscriber agreed to within my mailchimp account or anywhere else, so I’m not sure this is sufficient. The only way I can see to do this is the mailchimp GDPR Forms solutions won’t work with enbedded or plugin forms. stuck!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Child product names not showing on grouped productI have fixed a previous issue where the grouped child products (set to “hidden from normal catalogue/searches) all became invisible from within the grouped product page
An update was released to fix this, so I set it all back to normal (child products “hidden”, within “visible” grouped products)
Now, as the OP has noticed, all the child products have the same name!
Have had to go through and make all of them “visible” again, and conversely hide the currently-useless Grouped Products ….pending a fix ??

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Transaction CancelledI’m just taking orders via bank transfer at present

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Transaction Cancelledwhen I made a test purchase on my site earlier, I purposely selected “local pickup” (no shipping) as the option…so there weren’t any shipping details involved
…and this order didn’t work

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Transaction Cancelledproblems on my site too, including when I tested it several times. logged into site when putting orders through. on woo 3.0.5. Getting seriously hacked off with Woo 3 now, after a multitude of issues ??
By the way – I put a test order through just after to check, and that went through ok. Intermittent, just like the doubled order notification emails – just get 2 instead of 1, randomly. Am on woo 3.0.3. No issues reported in the System Report that I can see
