Yep. That appears to be the case. I have another thread going about this topic and another member just posted updated info verifying the company has ceased to exist…even though it’s still accepting payments. I’ve reported them to WordPress.

Thanks for checking deeper on this Brian. It looks like we’ve all been abandoned. My galleries are working now…but…again…it’s just a matter of time till this all fails on us again.

Amazing they are still collecting fees. I did report them to WordPress so we’ll see what comes of that.

Ugh…I just discovered that (in addition to this issue) NONE of my photography galleries are working. As a photographer that’s kind of key…ya know…

I think it’s time to abandon Athena and especially SmartCat Design…especially since it seems the company no longer exists.

Brian, that did the trick and is the fastest fix I’ve found! Like Deb…I’m simply not a coder…and besides that SmartCat has abandoned its customers. In fact, I can not find any company info now…not on facebook…not on linkedin.

I’m going to start looking for a new theme from a company with customer service!

I noticed your site is running. I’m wondering what process you followed.

To Manekineko70…I’m not comfortable digging into code and besides, I payed Smartcat Digital for two licenses and expected them to maintain updates and customer service.

From what I can find it’s possible the company has ceased to exist. I can’t find them on facebook or linkedin.

Something tells me it’s time to find a new theme. :/

Hello, so glad I checked this particular email. Yes, both of my websites are broken with 5.5 update. I’ve installed the downgrade and activated the plugin. I’ve followed the steps and saved the changes and not seeing it work.

It does state:
n order to perform the upgrade/downgrade to WP 5.4.2 please go to Update Core.

Up-/Downgrade Core

When I do this it leads me to my plug in page. Not sure where to go from here.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

On another note…is it time to abandon this great theme for a company that will respond to its users???

Anyone? Really frustrating. I keep receiving emails from dumbcat to address my ticket. When I click through and log in I find that my ticket has still not been addressed. Can’t believe I wasted money with this company. Attempts to reach through facebook also fail.

Athena versions have been fixed.

STILL PROBLEMATIC: Menus do not function when I view the site on my iPhone. Can’t get any help from Smartcat. Help appreciated.
