In reply to: [evolve] “Deprecated” messages affecting front-endHi @evgenyviner, thanks for the feedback.
Would there happen to be any other workarounds for this issue? The reason I ask is because we think it’s risky to set WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY to false, in the event the errors/warnings that get printed to the screen are useful and could point us toward more fatal issues/problematic code.
Thanks,
Matthew HuntleyHi @vmarko,
Just wanted to follow up on this discussion.
Thanks!
–Matthew HuntleyHi @vmarko,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Please find my answers to your questions below:
Just to confirm, if the Page Cache is disabled, the problem no longer occurs?
MH: Correct, if Page Cache is disabled; we do not see this issue occur.
Can you please let me know if you are using the single configuration for all sites or do you have an individual setup for each subsite?
MH: Single configuration, as I see this is the only type of configuration when it comes to using the plugin on a WordPress multisite installation. Is there way to have separate configurations for each individual site?
Can you please let me know if those subdomains are in the same sub folder of the website?
MH: Confirmed; all are in the same subfolder.
Also, please let me know if the same thing occurs if you switch to Disk: Enhanced or any other caching method for Page Cache.
MH: I have just switched to Disk: Enhanced and will let you know if the issue occurs. Please note the issue doesn’t occur right away (it sometimes takes days to reveal itself).
Best regards,
Matthew HuntleyHi @mhdizmni,
Thanks very much for the prompt responses. I look forward to these updates.

Matthew HuntleyHi @mhdizmni,
Thanks so much to you and your team for implementing this fix so quickly. I confirmed the fix on my end.
Best regards,
Matthew HuntleyHi @mhdizmni,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Confirming that, yes, I’m using using WP Statistics in a local environment, and based on this information and the link you sent, the current behavior makes sense to me. I will mark this issue as resolved.
Thanks again,
Matthew HuntleyHi @bartoszgadomski,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply. Ideally, we would use a Custom capability, as we would like our Site Mangagers to continue to be able to edit the site Settings, just not the settings for the Password Policy & Complexity Requirements plugin (we would only like Super Admins and Site Admins to have this privilege).
Do you think this Custom capability is something could be added in later versions?
Best regards,
Matthew HuntleyHi @omarelhawary,
Thanks very much for this. I now see what you mean (I think what was throwing me off was the need to first click off/away from the “Custom” tab [after unchecking “test” and clicking “Update”], and then re-clicking “Custom” to see that “test” did, indeed, get removed).
Appreiate you showing me this and resolving this issue.
Best regards,
Matthew HuntleyHi @omarelhawary,
Thanks for responding. Could you please advise on this scenario:
I add a Custom Capability called “test” and click “Update” –>
I realize “test” is no longer needed, and I’d like to remove “test from the Custom Capabilities list.
Can you please advise what action I should take, as I don’t see a remove and/or delete option.
Thanks again,
MatthewThanks, @omarelhawary; I figured as much, but just wanted to confirm.
Hi @omarelhawary, thank you very much for the feedback. I see now that the bbPress Plugin was, indeed, causing a conflict (upon deactivating the bbPress Plugin and removing the bbPress-specific Forum Role, which was an addition to the WP “Author” role, the site exhibited the correct/expected behavior in terms of Admin Access). I appreciate you pointing this out.
Best regards,
Matthew HuntleyThank you very much, @omarelhawary; you’ve answered my question 100%. Much obliged.

Matthew HuntleyHi @evgenyviner, thanks for the prompt response and feedback; I appreciate it.

Matthew HuntleyThanks @maheswar1manyam; this was very helpful, and exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your feedback.

Matthew HuntleyHi @omarelhawary, thanks for responding.
Yes, ultimately I would like to sync Capabilities on the multisite so that every subsite has the same Capabilities options. In particular, I would like all subsites to have these two Capabilities in the Edit Capabilities: Custom list wpcode_activate_snippets?and?wpcode_edit_snippets. I would like these Custom Capabilties to be available for every Role.
Thanks, and please let me know if you need additional information.
Best regards,
Matthew Huntlely
